Or you could just use Adblock Plus and / or BetterJTV, which leaves paying $8.99 / mo. for different emoticons and chat colors. No thank you.

You could, but then both Twitch and it's streamers would be left out on potential revenue, but then again some people only care about themselves.

Major twitch streamers get money per user per ad seen, it helps them continue to stay streaming a lot more often. It's an easier way to get rid of the ads and still help the users out who you watch.

Will this 8.99 a month give you better viewing performance I wonder? Ofcourse it won't. Not interested in the slightest.

Alot of major streamers actually make money off subs , which this could possibly take from , thus lowering the money they make. The money they make off ads is minimal at best. This will ruin higher end streams depending on the amount of people who go from subbing to support 1 person to paying twitch itself.

I don't like watching other people play video games. It's like when I was a kid and had to let my brother have a turn. Fuck that.

What if your interested to see how a game plays and are not sure if you want to spend money to test it out yourself?

Streamnig has its place, im certainly not one to sit down for hours watchnig people play SC2 or one of those silly MOBA games or whatever... but if im interested in a game il lwatch someone play it for a bit..
