I payed $1.96 for gas today

KiamdeKiamde Member CommonPosts: 5,820

For the first time since May, I payed under $2.00 a gallon for gas. I know it is still a long ways away from the pre-Operation Iraqi freedom/Iraq War/ War against terror/War for Oil/spreading democracy/war to support affirmative action in foreign countries bullshit, but its a start. What are you all paying for gas? $1.96 here in sunny Kansas City.

A little late. Experts said it'll be back to normal after September... more like October.

Professor Hubert Farnsworth - That question is less stupid but, you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

The price has pretty much stabilized at $2.08 here in Wichita. What do those "experts" truly know? They are wrong quite a bit, so I don't fully trust them.

God I hope there back to normal by the time I buy my first car, really don't want to squeeze out every little penny for a full tank of gas image

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

The price has dropped some, not to where it was but it's a good start.

$2.39 a gallon here, wisconsin is notorious for bludgeting us all on taxes.

Its actually almost 3 dollars in california like 2.90 something, but i ask the question, how do we have to pay the most yet most of the gasoline suppliers are based out of california, it really doesn't make any sence.

Now, if I remember correctly what I heard on CNN is that why gas is so expensive in California, even though most of it comes from there, is because California requires stricter gas processing requirements. So in the end the gas price is higher, because of the extra processing required for the gas.

I live in CA but I am lucky enough to only have to fill up once every two weeks. You can thank a manual Mitsu Lancer for that image. So I pay like 50 dollars a month.

The gas changes by pennies so much here that I can't keep up so I got buy total per 2 weeks and that would be 25 dollars a fill up.

For what it's worth, just around $2.50 here in Wisconsin, give or take a quarter.

For those getting 99c a gallon... send me your gas and I'll send you 1.00 per gallon.  Everyone wins :)

And for the record: it's not the price increases that are temporary; it's the price dips.  From here on out, demand for gasoline is outstripping supply and the gap will only continue to grow.  Find something else to put in your tank or count on spending $5.00 a gallon in the next ten years, maybe more.

You guys in California pay up the nose for EVERYTHING

A house that sells for 850K in california sells for 200K in Maryland. I will never live there. I saw a bungalo (a little spanish 2 room cottage) sell for 650K in a suburb of Los Angeles. A 3 story, 4 bedroom townhome right across the street of the US Supreme Court in DC was 350K (a friend with a few others bought the house...they're Senate Interns). Everything in California is way too overpriced. Its like New Jersey, but just on the otherside of the continent.

And you prove what with that? You produce more oil? Probably not if you check gallons of oil produced per citizen. We actually have one of the biggest shipping companies in the world (Maersk) the owner of that company is on top 100 richest people in the world.

Want to know what this proves? Danish politicians have F****D Denmark with extremely high taxes, VAT and bs...
