You need a better education.  If you had one you would know that statement is full of so much ignorance.

Some people cannot afford such luxuries. Kids, current status in life beyond work, and many more reasons can make it hard to spend 60$ on something they are not quite sure about.

To me its a money grab, but that is how the world works.

agree with the statement of killah.

If that amount of money is a problem, you have to adjust your earnings instead of complaining about pricing.

Nothing to do with ignorance, that is how it works, simple..

I have a decent paying job to but throwing out 200 bucks on a free to play game....i guess im just to stingy with my money.

i know what OP is talking about but considering games like TERA and WoW and so many others charge $20+ for a single mount i don't see this really unreasonable since many of those other games were charging box price + sub fee + charging for extra items... at least here you only need to spend a dime if you want the extra items.

It would have been better if they sold their VIP Founder Pack for, at most, $40.00.  Then there would have been a lot of peeps riding around on spiders and no one jealous.  Selling it a $200 is to much and stupid.  Now only a few peeps will pay $199.99 and PWE will get less money for their greed.  Guardian Pack should of been $20 and Starter Kit is garbage.

I would not go thru the torment of a beta if someone paid me; any beta.  They should have sold that separately for the masochists at any price from $600 to $60.  Let the silly rich people think they're getting a deal with beta access.

Every P2P MMO that has been released with in the past 5 years has offered lifetime Subs for this price with no rewards. Atleast with Cryptic and PWE their are giving you some goodies if you spend that amount.

If we kill people to protect ourselves and this future, then what sort of future is it, and what will we have become? There is no future for those who have died. And what of those who did the killing? Is happiness to be found in a future that is grasped with blood stained hands? Is that the truth?"

Is there an option for buying a Lifetime Sub? I haven't seen one yet. Just the high priced Founder Packs that gives you items you don't really need to play the game, they don't include Lifetime anything.

Craptics seen how much they can get people to nickle and dime through STO, I doubt you'll see a lifetime anytime soon. This games going to be like SWTOR. Everyones going to defend it, then when it fails, they'll still defend it because they can't admit they were wrong in the first place.

Oh you mean like the fools who defend the craptastic Guild Wars 2? Or the fools that says SOE can do no wrong? Or the fools that claim because D3 is online only it should be treated like a MMO?

Being ftp it's a choice I don't get the bitching, especially since people who pay any real currency are the ones funding the game. It's amazing people expect to game for 100's of hours for free and still complain. Honestly you think these people popping out games work for free?

59 bucks is norm for video games that are:

A)A game that is know for its quality and for the quality of its gameplay like skyrim

B)A very hyped product like call of duty

This Neverwinter mmo does not fit in any of those categories, heck not even GW2 or SW:TOR standard packs were priced 60 bucks

59.99 is the standard price for basically every game on the planet now. Give me ANY new console game that is not 59.99 plus tax? MOST PC new PC games are either 49.99 or 59.99...and no one complains. There are a lot of MMO's that have no problem charging you 49.99 plus tax for the game...then 15$ a month sub...and put things in the cash shop.

GW2 I'm pretty sure was 60$....but even if it was 50$....they had things for you to buy the second you logged in. You started getting chests that required you to purchase keys right away.

IMO....GW2 turned out to be very boring and underwhelming in almost every way....and it REQUIRED you to pay a MIMIMUM of 60 bucks to play the game. If you want to play GW2...you have to buy it....and if you end up not liking it...they still got your money. It's only saving grace is that there is not a sub...so some people like myself MIGHT give it another try if they fix the things that are wrong with it.

With Neverwinter....if you have a little bit of patience....you will be able to play the game for nothing. You will be able to give the game an extremely extensive "try out" without ever dropping a dime....AND there wll be a ton of people that NEVER spend any money on the game.

It's got to be either a generation thing or an mmo gamer specific thing, because it's a strange level of entitlement that doesn't exist in any other entertainment consumer base. The game is free. It will cost the majority of people that play it absolutely nothing. If someone wants VIP tier content - like with any club, performance, venue, etc - that is available. It's there for the people that want to buy it. That person is not YOU

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
