HI All,
I am planning to buy this game, but before that I decide that I must know the pros and cons for this game.
Do you guys give me some aspect of this game?
Thanks,
John

its boring and unoriginal, You would probably be much better off with a game like City of Villians/Heroes
or World of Warcraft
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
I played the game for about 3 weeks before quitting. I've been playing MMO's for several years, and I can honestly say this was one of the worst. The game consisted of two main parts:
Grinding XP by doing unoriginal and repetitive missions, and by doing meaningless and unrewarding PvP. While the combat system was certainly fun to watch, it was also completely unstrategic. As far as I could tell, the type of move you did really did not matter. There really aren't that many different skills to choose from, and only the most hardcore of all Matrix fans could really see anything in this game.
Visually it isn't bad, and combat is fun to watch, but not as tactical as it could/should be. Generally just a very shallow and unappealing game. It's up to you overall of course, but in my opinion I wouldn't bother.
I played it for a few weeks, too. It's pretty cool at the beginning, very Matrixy, but then it's just the same old grinding. Graphics are ok, but you need a pretty awesome system to make it much better than most of what is out there and every street and building tends to look the same. The combat animations are pretty cool, though, and from the few interactions I had, the community seemed ok. Lots of older players willing to power-level new guys. Lots of clothing options, but it doesn't do much good when everyone wants to look like the movie characters. It seems relatively stably (I only experienced a CTD 3 or 4 times) and I didn't experience much lag unless I was in the popular gathering point (Mara Central or something like that, I believe). Not a bad game by any means, but it just doesn't have anything to really make it stand out, in my opinion. In the end, though, the grinding got to me worse than SWG or EQ ever did...and that's saying a lot.
...and those games aren't? At least MxO had a great skill and combat system. But the game does get insanely boring after about a month. And it sounds like it's gotten worse since I left.

I played this game during BETA and a few weeks after going retail, and to essentially to sum it up... City of Heroes Matrix-Style, meaning instead of tights and a cape, you get a trenchcoat and sunglasses. I had high hopes for this game being more of a deeper, richer world then some plain one dimensional game, like City of Heroes.
The Pros:
- Can be fun if you you are an RPer
- Strong community (but thats like any low pop. game)
- The ability to mix and switch your classes
- The abilities are really cool
- Its the Matrix, including greenish tint (if you enable it)
- Indepth storylines, when an ingame event happens.
- The box can be purchased for cheap
The Cons:
- The worst combat system EVER. Imagine City of Heroes, but your locked in combat and you wanna break out of it but have to pray that you hit the RUN button repeatedly that it will break combat.
- Lack of content compared to WoW, DAoC, Eve and some other games.
- Lack of player skins and originality
- CoH grindfest leveling
- SOE now owns it and it too is now caught in transition of going through an overhaul like a majority of SOE's other games.

WoW,
I got a lot of repsonses from you guys.
So what do you suggest?
Should I purchase the game just to have fun?
Because I just want a game that will give me fun , i am not interested in RPing.
Please help me friends.
I am yet unable to decide, Since from here I have got plus replies also.
Thanks,
John.
Personally.. I would hold off for now. The reason I suggest this, is that SOE seems to have some major revamps coming to MxO (and most of their other games). And the last thing you want to do is go in new, and then a few months down the road they change the entire system(s), and your starting off again.
I'm waiting for the changes myself to see whats coming up and whats changed, before I consider giving MxO another chance. But, unfortunately with the new online games coming down the pipe, it could be too little too late.
Ok well... as someone who played from Beta Phase 1 to still to this day having an account open (only because I paid for a full year in advance though).
Pros:
- Great RP community and Player run events
- Lots of great clothing to personalize your character (if your into that)
- Great skill system with some fun classes (although I'm sure SOE will Balk it up somehow shortly)
- Some "Matrix'ish" feeling to the game
- Mission system can be very fun for about the first 10 levels
Cons:
- Community continues to dwindle, unfortunately due to it's many issues being on the SOE all access plan did not help this part of the game very much
- Performance of the game is just simply aweful, regardless of your system specs the game has been so poorly codeed in some areas it simply begins to crawl and show obvious signs of neglect.
- Lost story, the biggest draw to this game was that it was supposed to be Matrix cannon, the player was supposed to have the opportunity to move the Matrix story forward, unfortunately this has fallen to the way side in lieu of turning it into a pvp fest for pre-schoolers.
- Very limited character customization, during end of beta the game was supposed to receive up to 20 new character models and more customization options, this was put to the wayside because of more pressing matters and has ultimately been forgotten.
- Mission system, although great and fun for about the first 10 levels, it becomes quickly apparent that because of repetition, lack of variety, many bugs, glitches and the many people taking advantage of some very well publisized cheats/hacks, it has simply fallen appart.
- Combat System, the interlocking system was a minor stroke of genious IMO that was implemented in a horrible way. SOE is of course looking into this, they really love their combat revamps, but knowing them they'll go with the generic bore fest they always fall back too.
- And of course, it's an SOE game, the way they've been going lately they seem to adore inflicting pain on their player base, whether it be planetside, EQ2, SWG or MxO. It's hard to call a game home when you have no idea what it will look like in say... a week even.
There's more but your probably bored at this point, my personal reco is that if trying MxO is a passing curiosity for you right now, pass and moving to something better. If you have a real need to play the game, enough that you would be willing to overlook many many issues and try to incorporate yourself into the community or have useless fun in PVP, then why it.
It might be especially worth a try if you already have an SOE all access plan. Either way, best of luck and hope this helps.

I suggest not buying this game. It is pretty bad. Not fun and since your looking for fun, you want to avoid this game. I've never cancled an MMO subscription faster. Even though I had to call to cancle this one. Which sucks.
Get City of Heros / Villians very good game and lots of fun. If you want more depth, go to EQ2 or maybe WoW. WoW might be a quicker fix than EQ2, but EQ2 has more depth.
Again, just stay away from MxO...
I would wait to see what SOE does to the game before committing money to it. They've done wonderful with EQ and EQ2 but SWG they're in the process of destroying and PlanetSide they really mis managed into mediocrity. So they only really appear to be any good at managing EQ2 so far. Their other titles are fairly mediocre now. SWG used to be good but the dev team that wrote SWG is long since gone from SOE... the new teams they have working on it now appear to be turning it into a console game.
MxO could be good but I'd wait and see what they do to it before sinking any money into it.

You ahve superbly replies Shae.
May i know for how much time you are playing this game?
Because it matters when you are expirienced person.
I am looking forward for more responses from everybody who play MxO.
Thanks in Advance,
John
Thanks Geeky.
YOu just said it straight forward.
I like the way.
Thanks,
John.
Woo, first time someone said I replied superbly
Anywhoo, I would say at best I log on once or twice a week now, and it's mostly to speak with friends I made there, the one thing you will notice about MxO is that it has a core base of very hardcore dedicated players that won't leave until the game is being shut down. Surprisingly there is still a very large popuplation of Beta Players hanging in and contributing to the community, certainly admirable but I have no idea how and from where they gain the patience.
