If you haven't read or heard the new news on the upcoming patch,that will chenge the leveling and crafting system,let me summarize it for you.
The developer team of Firefall Red 5 are planning to chenge the leveling system form the Tier system,which as you start or swap for the fist time to (prominent fetcher of the game that allow the player to swap one for another class or) a battleframe,you start from Tier 1 with this frame and as you play eventually you would be able to unlock the next Tier.That these make the previous Tier obsolete by gameplay prospective,but allows for the player to not care previous Tiers,as Tier 1 is more eased up the Tier 2 and serve as a tutorial ,without scarring the new to the Frame.Until Tier 3, where the frame is at it's fullest.
But the changes will make that different,as they're not maybe to improve,but to ease the monetization.Because the new system will delete the Tier one,replacing it with a more separate frame system without any upper tiers,that means instead of having to pass from Tier 1 Engineer to Tier 2 Bastion and then to Tier 3 Pylon,you will have them all from the start as Tier 1 and only as Tier 1 to the end.Not only making the game to have any tutorial to speak of,but from 15(All battle frame in the Tier system being.T1 one frame,T2 two frames and T3 three frames) to 15+,if they're generous and + is because at that point, they can make as many frames as they want.
But here why it is a scam.Even though they're promoting it as the game of skill,the realty is how much time you spend grinding and on top of that every event in the game is only game to be played properly by same frames,the big ones being the biggest suspect.As of now biggest event is the BaneClaw Run,that can be played only by 5 frames and that's me being generous.
The elephant in the room is the monetization.If you want to play a frame,you first use slot and you have to 7,500 in game money,every new player gets only 3 slots and for more he or she was to buy them with real money.But every frame was a separate exp pool and as the level expectations,so too the grind.In the end making kiss wow's mh&rr.But you can pay to get a exp bonus,smallest being 5% going from 2$ to 20$ and biggest being 15% going from 10$ to 100$,being that one is the real price and one is a pack.

Your probable wandering is the pvp any good,it want to be an Espot right, it good as much as the Call of Warcraft game exists.The balance will be crazy as melding because of the more frame and Red 5 bad skill,mostly because activision philosophy:who pays more get more.
Warning:If play to firefall or want to play it,or you can just wait for the new Call of Duty mmo,you better have suffcient funds.
But until they resolve the scam,stay away from Firefall.

i dont see any scam here. I play firefall and i only spent the 20 bucks for the beta pack which also gave me microtransactions. The game is in beta so i dont feel the need to pay cash shop in a beta. Ill buy more after launch if the prices are decent.
I actually like the idea of removing Tiers, and instead creating new and different battleframes (classes). The difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the same class is almost nonexistent so thats a big waste of resources they can use to improve battleframes and add a better way of class progression and abilities.
I dont mind starting with 3 battleframe slots (a couple more would be nice, but i can live with 3). You can always buy more if you need more. F2P games do that so thats not a problem. Experience and resource boosts are also a F2P cash shop thing so i dont see the problem there either, as long as they dont sell power then its ok.
Also. I have 3 battleframes (assault T2, engineer t2, and sniper t1). Im totally ok with each of them having separate xperience so i dont have to worry about wasting all exp in one battleframe. If i play engineer i all the exp ill gather its only for the engineer so i dont mind separate experience pools. I dont remember if minerals are shared or not, but sharing minerals (crystite, etc) is better than sharing exp. Maybe it would lower the grind if the exp is also shared between battleframs? that could be nice too but again, its not a deal breaker to me. Exp boosts can always be bought.
I just hope they finish the game soon because theres plenty of content missing from the development timeline.
You do know you can delete any frame at any time and replace it with a new one right? It saves the progression in that frame incase you wish to carry on later. So you are complaining about the cost ingame of a frame you get for free, then say the expensive xp gains which have no effect on your Crystite ~(ingame currency) gain for a new frame. XP unlocks new skills in the tree, it has no effect on Crystite which you need for more frames.
The changes are for PvP and there will still be vertical progression in PvE, which is why these changes were introduced in the first place. PvP frames have horizontal progression and give more choice to playstyle, not power, so paying for xp gains has neither an effect on frame power in PvP or frame choice. If three frames are not enough for you completely free, in a free game, which allows you to change to any other frame with an ingame currency, then I think you have some kind of entitlement issue.

dude,i wish you were right.But that game is not maybe to be play one class play all,it more like play all classes play all.
And with more classes and making them harder to get to they're best for the time,the new build will make you pay more ,because your being forced.
