Is there a forum image guide?

I don't bother messing with code most of the day I just wanna post pics to my posts and have they display properly. I've tried uploading images to this site and using them for as long as I've been on here, usually the only thing I can get to work are links to some other offline image source that happens to be what I want to portray. I've tried linking directly to the images in my picasa account but that doesn't always work for some reason.

Can someone direct me to a guilde on how to use these forums?

I've never encountered this type of posting on any other forum or blog just this one, every other forum and blog I've been to has an upload button that posts the image into the line you want it to be on or at the bottom of the forum post you are making.

    If you use the WYSIWYG editor then hovering the mouse over the icons will tell you what they do.
