Mightiest Rebel Pilot

In the initial assault on the Death Star, there arose many heroes.  I am wondering who you think is the best. 

1.  Jek Porkins:  A rotund pilot whose weight tragically stressed his X-Wing to the point of a "belly slide" on the surface of the Death Star.  Memorable quote,  " No I'm alright AAAAAAUUUUURRRRGGGHHHH!"

2.  Gold 5:  Often confused with Porkins, this brash young Y-Wing pilot was part of the initial run in the trench on the Death Star.  Memorable quote,  "Stablilize rear deflectors, watch for enemy fighters"  also of note "stay on target, stay on target"

3.  Red Leader:  This grizzled veteran is the man you want to go into battle with.  He has seen it all and sounds cool over a CB.  Memorable quote,  "YEEEEEEAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!" as he plummets to his doom, he lets out a warcry.

    I don't know if anybody noticed this before, but in the first movies the fat guy was always the first to die.

    This changed later of course, as Lucas began enjoying his rewards for his efforts.

    Rotund?   Just call the brother fat.   He was a fat X-Wing pilot, and being fat cost him his life.   His name should've been Jek Pork.

    I think it was actually a combination of fat and ignorance.  Let us not forget that Biggs told him to "Pull out".

    Red Leader was the greatest, cuz he was a redneck hick fighter pilot!  that's how depserate the Rebel Alliance was, they needed inbred yokels to lead their squadron of no0b pilots :)
