Questions about 'reading' this build.

So, I made a Elec/Elec Blaster.

I found this build for him. Should be pretty ok.

01 : Electric Fence acc(01)
01 : Lightning Bolt acc(01) dam(3) dam(7) dam(15) dam(34) dam(40)
02 : Charged Brawl acc(02) dam(3) dam(7) dam(15) dam(31) dam(39)
04 : Ball Lightning acc(04) dam(5) dam(5) dam(13) dam(31) dam(39)
06 : Hurdle jmp(06)
08 : Short Circuit enddrn(08) enddrn(9) enddrn(9) enddrn(17) enddrn(17) enddrn(19)
10 : Havok Punch acc(10) dam(11) dam(11) dam(13) dam(31) dam(39)
12 : Hasten recred(12) recred(19) recred(25) recred(27) recred(27) recred(40)
14 : Super Speed runspd(14)
16 : Health hel(16)
18 : Tesla Cage acc(18) hlddur(46) hlddur(48)
20 : Stamina endrec(20) endrec(21) endrec(21) endrec(29) endrec(29) endrec(43)
22 : Charged Bolts acc(22) dam(23) dam(23) dam(25) dam(37) dam(40)
24 : Build Up recred(24) recred(50) recred(50)
26 : Aim recred(26) recred(50)
28 : Stealth endred(28)
30 : Combat Jumping jmp(30)
32 : Thunderous Blast dam(32) dam(33) dam(33) dam(33) recred(34) recred(34)
35 : Power Sink enddrn(35) enddrn(36) enddrn(36) enddrn(36) recred(37) recred(37)
38 : Super Jump jmp(38)
41 : Static Discharge acc(41) dam(42) dam(42) dam(42) dam(43) dam(43)
44 : Charged Armor damres(44) damres(45) damres(45) damres(45) damres(46) damres(46)
47 : Shocking Bolt Empty(47) hlddur(48) hlddur(48)
49 : Acrobatics endred(49)

But how should it be understood? The digit after ie. "acc(XX)" does it indicate which lvl I should add this slot/enhancement?

One more thing, what does "Hurdle" mean? It is seen at point 6. "06 : Hurdle jmp(06)" - what does it mean?

One more thing, I encountered the "word": mez - What's that a fancy slang-word for?

Thx in advance.

One more thing - I am trying to run through this build via CoH Planner. That's why I got confused about "Hurdle" - since it doesn't appear as a selectable power under my Primary or Secondary Powers. Where do I find it? Both in CoH Planner and in-game. Never seen it before?

the numbers on left of all is the level that u get the power at... The numbers in the parentheses also represents the level that u get the power or slots at...

Mez represents any type of status effects like hold,sleep,stun,disorient,etc...

BTW, it's better post and asks for suggestions about your build in the COH forum (in 'blaster' section cause you're asking about a blaster) than on this forum...

First off, the numbers listed to the right of Acc and Dam and such in the ()'s are at what level the additional slots are added. For example lightning bolt you get at level 1. at level 3 you put a 2nd slot. at level 7 you put the 3rd slot, level 15 4th slot, level 34 5th slot, level 40 you 6th slot.

06 : Hurdle jmp(06) means at level 6 you get the power Hurdle. It will have 1 slot at level 6 which you will put a jump enhancement into it.

    Mez is short for Holds/sleeps/immobilize.

By the look of this build, it looks like it was set up before the Enhancment diversification. What is ED? For some it's a dirty word. image For others, it made the game more challenging. (please don't start this as an ED thread, just want to "educate")

Enhancments are broken down by this: Training Enhancments= ~8%; Dual Origin Enhancments (DO)= ~16%; Single Origin (SO) = ~33%

So, Pre-Issue 6, if someone had 6 Damage SO enhancements they would be doing 33x6= 198% damage increase to your attack.

Issue 6 introduced Enhanement Diversification. If an enhancement was over 100%, any additional enhancement of same type will not be as powerful. So 3 SO damage enhancments=99%...when you add a 4th SO damage, you will not get the full 33% boost.

The following goes into detail for the ED:

Now one thing about an the electric powerset. Besides the ability to Endurance drain, the Single target attacks give some endurance back to the player. I currently have a level 32 ele/ele blaster. He's very melee oriented (some call his build a "blapper") I've used weave and toughness in the fighting pool, instead of the stamina pool to conserve energy.

Hurdle is from the powerpool selection...which is unlocked at level 6

your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't

Hurdle, as mentioned, you can get at level 6, but I didn't see anyone elaborate for you since you asked, it's in the fitness power pool, you can get either hurdle or swift to open up health and stamina at later levels.  Either hurdle or swift is fine depending on how you like to play, some don't like the added jump height.
