WEBZEN’S SOUL OF THE ULTIMATE NATION NEARS AMERICAN SOIL AS GAME ENTERS SECOND CLOSED BETA IN KOREA

LOS ANGELES and SEOUL – October 25, 2005 – WEBZEN America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of WEBZEN Inc. (NASDAQ: WZEN), announced today that Soul of the Ultimate Nation is drawing nearer to its North American approach as the game enters its final round of closed beta testing in Korea. Today’s kick off of the second phase of closed beta testing welcomed 10,000 Korean gamers into the epic world of Soul of the Ultimate Nation.

“The positive reaction Korean gamers have had towards Soul of the Ultimate Nation in the closed beta testing is a testament to the development team’s vision of creating a truly unique MMORPG that combines the immersive storyline of a single player adventure role playing game with the intense combat of a 3D action game,” said Jun Hyun Kim, General Manager, WEBZEN America, Inc. “Soul of the Ultimate Nation is poised to raise the bar in the MMO space with its fierce multiplayer combat and stylish battles in a visually stunning game world.”

The first round of Soul of the Ultimate Nation’s Korean closed beta took place from September 27 to October 3 with 1,000 players selected from more than 430,000 beta applicants. The participants were most impressed by the game’s fluid character movement, console game-styled combat scenes and stunning visuals. The game’s battle zone system was also highly regarded for its customization, which allows users to set their own hunting ground, level of difficulty and participation criteria.

“WEBZEN America is eager to bring Soul Of The Ultimate Nation stateside and give North American gamers the chance to experience the distinctive gaming experience and eye candy this fantasy MMORPG has to offer,” said Aaron Rigby, WEBZEN America senior producer for Soul Of The Ultimate Nation.

Soul of the Ultimate Nation brings the deep storyline of a single player adventure/RPG game together with the fast and furious multiplayer combat of a 3D action game. The narrative of Soul of the Ultimate Nation unfolds through missions and quests and sets the stage for strategic battles by allowing players to customize their game play experience through numerous types of maps, entry numbers and degrees of difficulty. Incorporating console-style game play into a classic MMORPG, Soul of the Ultimate Nation features action-packed intensity, spectacular graphics and stylish battles in an epic medieval tale set in a rich world of emperors, armies, magicians and monsters. Soul of the Ultimate Nation is scheduled for release in Korea and North America in 2006.
