Will Eberron be a good place for D&D to start a MMORPG?

Well I think it is. It seems that alot of people haven't tryed it, so in that aspect they're won't be so many book nazis

I think that is the main reason they are using the new area. Otherwise they would be getting 100s of "suggestions" from loyal fans of the older realms.

Yeah. You more or less can't use the Forgotten Realms, and we can blame the rabid Realms fans for that.

That's right, you nitpickers ruined your own chances at seeing a Forgotten Realms MMORPG because your obsession over that setting would bring about an uproar of people pissed off that this Tree doesn't have that slash Drizzt put into it while fighting gnolls, or because Candlekeep doesn't look EXACTLY like it did in Baldur's Gate. And don't you go saying "i'm not like that!" because I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to the whole, and if you aren't like that you see where I'm coming from.

the Realms are so well imagined that you can't go anywhere with it, everybody has their image and to see another person's (the developer's) image of the Realms would be some grand sin in their eyes. So they go with Eberron, which is new and relatively unimagined so far.

That and Elves aren't pansies in Eberron. Elves rock in Eberron.
