G4 rates SWG disappointing

Was watching Filter on G4 just now and their main complaints were:
1. Too many Jedi, has become too easy to create Jedi characters and there are so many now it ruins immersion
2. lack of stormtroopers
3. lack of epic battles

2 and 3 are meant to be fixed with the NGE, hopefully it prooves true. Dunno about 1 tho
SOE and LEC are finally being seen for what they truly are.
And as for 1. people have been saying it for over a year. But SOE or LEC wouldnt listen. And with them now being a starting profession its going to only get worse.

G4tv actually ranked SWG the #6 most disappointing game of all time. A position that is well deserved.
Oh I agree on #1.. just not since launch. About a year ago, yes.. just not launch.
They were supposed to fix 2 and 3 since what.. publish 4?

true jedi should be almost impossible to get so that they are kept extreamly rare OR/AND give them permadeath to their jediness OR/AND really bab penalties for death
last time i checked Grind bols wasnt in teh manual thats uour own fauld hell when i started i did the noob trainer R2 quests then went off in teh direction of jabbas palace and lvled up while questing his themepark sure i wasnt able to 1shot kill all enemies but it was fun and i mastered brawler and part of pikeman there as well as learnt the value of having medic skills which i also lvled there after that i think i visited the tuskan fort then teh reb themepark and theres too many quests to mention
GRINDING BOLS WAY YOUR OWN FAULT BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO HAVE ALL UR SKILLS RIGHT THERE AND THEN
The game has been dumbed down :P
The quests are dressed up missions : Go kill go kill! Still the fucking same

Anyone who considers G4 an authority on video games is off their rocker.
That channel is nothing but a really bad joke. X-play is the only decent show on that channel anymore, and even they try too hard to be "funny." If I want funny, I'll watch Comedy Central... just give me some f*cking unbiased game reviews.

I am not saying that SWG is not dissappointing at times. I am saying that G4 tv is not a place to get good information or reviews.
Critical thinking is a desire to seek, patience to doubt, fondness to meditate, slowness to assert, readiness to consider, carefulness to dispose and set in order; and hatred for every kind of imposture.

I just wish some (not you specifically, Jorev) would remember that when they see someone write something positive. Many seem to think the only justified opinion is a negative one

I have seen the highlights of the new changes, and sadly, I have to say that all they did was seemingly dress it up.
Someone mentioned "grinding". Well there is the problem! Everyone from day one was looking for the fastest way to Master, that they forgot the important part, it's the trip you take, not the final destination. You don't go to Disneyland just with the thought of getting in the car at the end of the day. I was playing SWG from day one and for the first year I was having a blast. Bugs and all, while people were whining and complaining bout bugs and wanting to unlock Jedi, freinds and I were busy having fun. Took me over 9 months to Master Pistoleer and I never had to "grind" a minute.
The game is about interaction, not about one person. Not about Mastering, cuz after you Master there is nothing to "maintain" or if your grinding, nothing to make it fun. The Dev's still haven't figured it out either, they still keep trying to change the looks and "feel", but they won't until people get the fact that they can have more fun if they just don't care about their progress and just enjoy the scenery.
grinding didnt really start until the holocrons started dropping. butit was the only real content we had.
Before that the fun was in just playing and actually role playing or having PVP battles.
