WOW is great. but i need some sort of diversion and EVE looks fun!im currently trying out the free trial. its got amazing graphics!

the trailer is authentic EVE. its not fake.thats what makes it interesting for me.

He never said "Eve's graphics are so new and cool". He said they were amazing. And they are. That's his opinion. Not sure what your purpose was in pointing out the age of the graphics engine ( which WAS just updates with the latest expansion ) since the game came out in what...2002? Of course the graphics aren't brand new. Neither are DAoCs, AOs, or any OTHER game that's been out for a couple years. So to call them "old" ( which is a subjective term in and of itself ) served absoultely NO purpose.
To the OP I have played Eve on and off since it started ( in fact since Beta phase 5 ). It IS a great game. The ONLY reason why I am not playing now is that I can't keep myself involved in ANY MMO for more than 6 months at a time before I take some time off and do a lateral shift. IF you are going to play get yourself in a GOOD corp. Having a group of friends triples the entertainment value of that game ( since PvP by yourself is really quite hard ).

lol BetrayalX there are quite a few game making programs out there such as Game Maker and RPG Maker 2000. These programs allows you to make 2D games (3D games if you're really good) and will give you a feel of how games are made.
Actually there is a Free Mmorpg program maker in Beta called Kaneva. The Chronical is using this exact Program to create their game ironically. It can be used to import chars give them inventorys, levels. create maps, using FPS and or mmorpg type games with level based systems. its totally free to download and you can even host up to 30 people on your own mmorpg free, after 30 you must pay them to host a larger server for more people.
A speaker from their company recently came to our college(TODAY ACTUALLY) at our Computer lab building to talk to us about their company. He even featured the chronical and showed us some ingame features of their program used to create the chronical. Well anywhos the site is http://kaneva.com/

Wow, that's really cool. It could lead to people making those great games that we need so bad but the big boys are too scared to make.
EDIT: I just read the site and it seems that you will need a program such as 3ds max as well.

EVE's graphics are pretty good, but still i don't like paying money to play MMO's.
Eve graphics are cool...i checked out the latest one and it's great (http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/video/ENFLspecialM.wmv ). the graphics are from the real game itself .
