rearranging hotbars again when entering BGs?

in Everquest II
so i have my hotbars arranged a certain way and i just got done checking out the battlegrounds for pvp in this game for the first time, and to me suprise, when i zoned in and tryed to fight someone, i was hitting all the wrong abilites, come to find out, my hotbars had been reset as well as my keybindings.
my main question to you all is a simple one, is this just another example of poor coding in this game or is there something im missing? because if i have to reset up my hotbars again just for BGs then that is a bit crazy.

I have never heard of this problem from friends that used to do BGs
my advice is to post this issue to EQ2 Tech Support forums
