Was writing a post about the expansion after watching the video, but thought what the heck.
This game is at the point where those who play are beyond saving and new gamers don't care about it.
Only thing that saddens me is that BW propaganda video gets out without comment and someone might think it's really an exciting game (it's not).
You forgot to say "not exciting to you". It's exciting for me and thousands others who play it
And sure it seems I belong to those beyond saving . Very happy about it too.
At least I can still get excited about something
Too bad though that low planets are full of new players.... I guess nobody told them the game is not exciting
yea i have to wonder who asked to be saved. does he think people are incapable of deciding things for themselves. that they need him to do it for them.
also looks like the ilum event should be back soon
Although I cannot completely satisfy your request by stating a date that the Gree event will be returning, I do have some information at least. The Gree event will be returning a whole lot sooner than you think (note no ™). Soon in this case, is Game Update 1.7.2!
As part of this I wanted to make you all aware of the fact that along with the Gree Event coming back, the Golden Scalene Armor is going to be removed from the store at the same time, but that armor could always come back at a later date!
As one last teaser, we have some pretty cool information coming next week, so keep your eyes open for that.

Can´t wait to see the exhaustion zones... and the knee deep water, I highly doubt that something sophisticated like "swimming" has been added. Or a nice oldschool 2003 day/night change.
But I guess a lot of people already pre-ordered the cat in the bag, let´s see what this forum will say on release day.

It's quite disturbing actually. I'm at the point where I can't really blame the people playing, but I can't ignore the undiscerning nature of their ability to play this game. It's as if I wish they could be made to understand the insult they accept when they champion this game. I don't like seeing Star Wars MMO fans treated this way.
"But I love it" is the characteristic justification of the abused. It saddens me that so many support this game only because it is Star Wars, and are accomplices in further tarnishing the IP.

it's funny... something what in other games would be invisible wall or just something that you cannot pass... and in SWTOR is exhaustion zone, where you can actually go... and beyond it is something mysterious and something you cannot reach now... but there is always a promise that one day you can is bashed endlessly
I love the way how they implemented map limits. On Tatooine on Dune Sea... you can see for miles into it, on Hoth the same...
What's the difference between this and other games other than a name and how it affects your character

It adds up. There is no swimming, the whole galaxy has planets with kneedeep water. If you run too far off into the desert you die in an exhaustion zone. No day night change, no twin sun set on Tattooine. The "horizon" is made up of mostly non-explorable cardboards. Graphics are still DX9 and look like 2006. Can´t tell how often I simply felt rickrolled by this game. They are trying to sell more of the same by showing "concept art". Nice try, Bioware, but no thanks

we each have our reasons as to what we play. I find it remarkable that people transfer their own enjoyment onto others. Why is that? Fortunately, we're all not toaster ovens.
I believe your reason for playing is a cocktail of liking the IP, not caring about having a game that isn't casual (no need for immersive world and systems), being able to tolerate cartoony art, and having found others who share those parameters.

we get it, you hate the game...and then?
Nothing, just stating the obvious. Look, everyone can play it and have fun, hopefully lots of fun, but it doesn´t meet MY standards. And what´s more important, it sadly doesn´t meet the standards of the Star Wars IP.
Making a simple bullet point feature comparison with 2012 MMOs and even way older MMOs doesn´t make SWTOR a feature or graphics winner - that is a fact, not an opinion.

I am making a blanket statement about the population of this game. It is as accurate or inaccurate as it is, nothing more. I'm just as able to make assertions as you are to refute them, and being that you are actively opposing a viewpoint I explained, I don't trust your arguments anyway. I think you are just trying to out-rhetoric me and not really examining why you accept this game to the point that you champion it online.

Some reasons may be as weird as... hmmm let me think.. shape of the backside of my male characters /grin
j/k... well... it's really, really not the main reason

Far as Mr. "I need to save people from playing this game" goes...got to love the internet. Some people think that you need to be saved by religion, some people think you need to be saved from fast food, some people think you need to be saved from technology...this the first time I ever heard that I needed to be saved from a game. What it all boils down to is "I hate this thing and don't want anyone else to enoy it either." When you cut through the B.S. that's all statements like that are about.

The video soes say part 1.
I hope they show a bit more in part 2, although I have a feeling they may chose not to.
It does look nice, but I think it would be nice to have beefier talking points then waterfalls and a new space elevator planet landing sequence.
Also, Hall Hood (subjective, and could be bad make up/lighting) looks like hell in that video.
