I'm in a poli-science class and one of our assignments is to get a group of people (busninessmen, teachers, lawyers, hippies, etc.) to take this quiz and see where the majority of them fit in.
I am a middle-school teacher right now, so I started to give it to some of my co-workers, but I'm already pretty sure where they fit in. I wanted to do something kind of different, so we'll see how you guys work out.
All I need you to do is just take the quiz (it takes like 1 minute) and tell me where you fit in politically. Be honest though, even if you don't agree with the results.
Thanks you guys!

Oh, I guess it wouldn't be fair to ask for your results if I didn't share mine.
I came out in the very top corner Libertarian. I pretty much agree with the results. It's supposed to be a respected test. I'm convinced it put me in the correct spot.
Libertarianism is, as the name implies, the belief in liberty. Libertarians believe that each person owns his own life and property, and has the right to make his own choices as to how he lives his life -- as long as he simply respects the same right of others to do the same.

i landed in hardcore liberterian too.
which seems right to me because i despise government.
I landed way out to the left in Liberal - have to say it's pretty accurate in the description it gives of that position, particularly this part of the description:
"Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles."
I work for Legal Aid in Aust. and that describes a fair part of the work we do!
I got to the bottom left of Conservative. It suits me pretty well..
I got the red dot right in the center of statists. Never heard that term used before, but I guess some of the things described fit me.
STATISTS want government to have a great deal of power
over the economy and individual behavior. They frequently
doubt whether economic liberty and individual freedom
are practical options in today's world. Statists tend to distrust
the free market, support high taxes and centralized
planning of the economy, oppose diverse lifestyles,
and question the importance of civil liberties.

LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal
matters, but tend to support significant government control of the
economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net"
to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation
of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,
defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action
to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.
Pretty much right on the money, me being a leftist greeny and all...but then I did answer questions that were obviously slanted one way or another...so it would be bad if the test got it wrong...hehe.
Excellent. This is actually turning out much different than I expected. Which is awesome. That means I'm learning something. You guys are awesome. Keep going!
One of the things my instructor recommended we do is come back to the test every year or two and take it again. He said peoples political views tend to change with age.
Centrist for me with small tendancy towards Liberal and borderline between Libertarian and Centrist.
I took a test similar to this before, from a different person. I scored differently on each test though. The accuracy on this isn't that diverse.
Professor Hubert Farnsworth - That question is less stupid but, you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Alcanan
"The True North Strong and Free"
"Faith Manages"
I ranked Liberal, I was actually a little surprised, I'm a lot more conservative than I used to be.
CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government
control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on
the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention
and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.
Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,
tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what
they describe as "practical" solutions to problems

Although I don't agree with the description of Liberals and Conservatives. Last couple Liberals are trying to F' up video games. Hint Hint Hilary clinton. Yeah they endorse freedom of speech my ass. More like freedom to want the most voters.
ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,
Thepolitical description that
fits you best is...
.
LIBERTARIAN
LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and
economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.
Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose
government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate
diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.
ummm, okayz
One dot North West of CENTERIST.
