Well that sucks there's no stealing or killing of friendly NPC's. Was also hoping you could steal items from merchants, and hearing that you can't go back into zones you outleveled is kind of dumb. I'll still try out beta but dunno if I'm going to buy this game.
Until these gaming sites actually send out someone who writes a Non-bias review pointing out the good AND bad in a game I dont take any stock in what they say.
These "Previews" of upcoming games are just paid-for-advertisements that always show the game in a positive light.
Bringer of Eternal Darkness and Despair, but also a Nutritious way to start your Morning.
I still have this issue with the game. For people with guilds/friends there are 3 race choices. Maybe I missed it, but unless you can do pve, belong to groups and guilds cross faction this seems like a problem for non-rvrvr players.

At this level it's not "paid-for-advertisements". Those previewers have NDA and there are things they can't talk about legally. The IGN preview actually start with things you can't do (but based on TES sp games). Most of them sound really cautious when it come to MMO features as well.
I have read a few so far, most of them list things they like and things they dislike, none of them say its the second coming of jesus and none of them say its terrible because it's a 3 hour developer given preview so to pass judgement on the game based on that short a play time is ridiculous.

Elder Scrolls Online nails the “Online,” stumbles on the “Elder Scrolls” during our first hands-on
And that's just one of the tidbits. I would just read articles as they have good and bad things to say.

If they are friends try to agree to play on one faction. If you don't want to do that just find a one faction MMO instead.

Im not really seeing 4 classes only, and they seem to be just templates like in other games.

- Though there will be four classes available on release, I had to choose between Dragonknight, Sorcerer and Templar for this playthrough.

Nightblade will be fouth ... i hope they will be diverse enough and customisable as much as possible ... that could rectify their quantity
During class selection, I was given a choice between Dragonknight, Templar, and Sorcerer. The devs let slip that there will be a fourth class at launch called the Nightblade.

Oh ok i see well hopefully you can really change the class how it plays in multiple ways.
Guess just gotta wait and see.

But you can. You can be a plate wearing mage that uses a sword and shield or a leather wearing warrior. Anyone can mix and match euipment and your equipment is what gives you whatever added abilities coupled with your own "skills".
So, it's "sort of" Elderscrolls like" on a certain level.

One more thing i don't like, when they have only four races which are more like templates .. why coose so specific names? Why not name them Warrior, ranger, mage ... Templar, Dragonknight, Nightblade are prety specific in my opinion.

I Morrowind and Oblivion there were "classes" of which Knight and Nightblade were two of them. There was also Swordspell and Pilgrim and Sorceror, etc.
Of course these classes were just made up of the available skills and one could either follow that template or create their won. I suspect they are trying to do the same thing here though it's slightly more confining as you have to take a tree that you might never be interested in.

Games Played: Too Many
Love the 3 factions and the keep warfare, hope we surpass DAOC one day
4 man dungeons, and no raids. That's pretty unusual, but very Elder Scrolls like, I guess
The skill system sounds like GW2's, awesome

New gameplay scenes? Some of them are unknown to me.
I hate to be the negative nancy here, but has anyone read any substantial criticisms the journalists had.
I am only seeing praise so far, and I have read/skim through maybe a quarter of what OP posted.
EDIT: Thanks for gathering these links OP. I will have a lot to read through when I get home from work.

I like what i have read so far in the previews, sounds like a solid mmo with decent enough elder scroll feel and lore.
Tho At the same time nothing ground breaking which is fine to me as long as it's fun.
