Lonely Solo Quest Grinder

Played AoC for 3 months and got to mid 60's but I cant continue anymore... its just a solo player quest grind up to 80 and the will to log online is gone. I'm just so sick of this MMO design... race past ALLLL the content to get to max level and finally get a group and then grind your face off.

Really frustrated because i like the lore and while the gameplay is very slow and a bit stiff, i enjoyed it in an old school way.

I spent hours and hours LFG, trying desperately to form groups for dungeons. I joined a guild. And in all that time I found 2 dungeon groups. TWO. the first group insisted we bring a lvl 80 friend to powerlevel us... fucking boring. and the second group fell apart before we even entered the dungeon. i would encounter players questing and even formed a few duo groups - only to be told, "gotta go, sorry its faster if  i solo".

Why? why do some games trivialize 90% of their gameworld for the sake of forcing players to grind through the final 10%? It does the game a diservice. I could never know if I would enjoy the gameplay because everything was solo. All the interesting group mechanics are never to be experienced pre-80. I could not get excited about the game, or making new alts because I never got to see any of them in action... all those awesome dungeons you will keep getting quests for... you will never see them. And it makes sense because the rewards for doing dungeons are pitiful in AoC so everyone just grinds the same damn quests. The guild i joined was helpful in offering powerleveling  but im just not interested  in that.

Funcom creates a huge game based on interesting (and expensive i imagine) Lore.... and then trivilalzes all of that gameworld for the sake of a handful of instanced dungeon/raids.  Really frustrated me.

Yeah it's been a few years ago since I played, but it was the same story.  I think I got to about level 50 and just quit - it was so boring.  I wanted to try some of the dungeons and on an entire server there was not 1 single reply when I would try to get something going for Black Castle or something similar.  Literally not 1 person.  Also just gave up on it
