Today was a wonderful day, I filled out lots of surveys to build up cash for this game when it's release and no longer in closed beta. After I did about 10 bucks worth of surveys, watched 20 videos, and even did some of the tasks I logged into the game. Started a brand new character and went from level 1 to level 13 in only about an hour.... but this is where the problem come in. I got hit with the BAN HAMMER. I was immediatly booted from the game and access to the site was stripped away from me for no reason what so ever.
After not being able to log into the game and unable to access the site I decided to run a few diagnostics to see if the site was still up and to also see if the servers for the game was still up. I quickly accessed a site that checks to see if other sites are up and even tell you if you can access the site. The site I used was able to access the site but gave me a disturbing remark for my side and it was that I was restricted from aeriagames.com.
So I then started to google aeria games bans and located hundreds of thread with people like me that know how to legitamitly do surveys and earn money in game faster then most people would in a month. I also found issues with other with ingame currency and people that bought game items and resold them to make more money (playing the auction house). These legit people were banned because they played the game and made more then what the company thought they should of made. I find this disturbing because I'm a hardcore gamer and know how to play the auction house and actually spend time doing surveys to make cash shop coinage.
This company seems to shady to be a company and greed is the only thing that can really cause them to ban people. When banned you loose time on time sensative items suchs as the 30 day backpacks and if it take 3 days for them to reinstate an account this could cause most hardcore gamers to loose money in their pockets.
This is my first game I've played with this company and have already been hit with a ban hammer where other games that have cash shops wouldn't even ban you for doing surveys all day or playing the auction house. I will post up my email when I get it back from the company. I do hope they remove this ban and will continue to post if I get banned again. If I get banned for no reason other then just taking time out to do surveys I will so take down this company and see that I get in contact with the BBB and shut them down.

Welcome to Aeria games! I've had the same thing happening to a long time ago (3 years or so). Though not banned form in-game, but after doing some surveys to get coins for Shaiya all was well. Quited for a year or so, went back and I found my account blocked due to 'violation of the ToS' (or something like that). Made a support ticket, took over a week for them to reply (F2P only publisher CS sucks balls in general) and got my account unlocked. Last week I wanted to try this MMO and I found out my account is blocked again for the same reason - WTF???
IMO, let Aeria games burn in hell. They publish shitty games and ban at will without reason.
As i stated before I was banned from the site also, so trying to unban myself was hard on my brothers internet. It seem that they might be thinking that I"m a hacker. I am over here at my brothers home for the week and made the account at a different IP address. But I find this funny also because of the secondary password they make you use ingame. So there is really no way to hack this game unless you give out your passwords.... As for the BBB I know that it is and you don't need to define what they are and what they do. I was just using it as a venting approach on things.
As for hacking, as for abusing, and I will state this one more time. There was no abuse what so ever on my parth when participating in these surveys which I took time out of my day to participate in. They take time to do, meaning it's not a hack, it's not me trying to abuse a system. They get companies to pay them to post these surveys up. Get that crap out of your head, abuse, yeah okay get over it. I just took my time to earn myself 10 bucks. It's not like I sat there and just hit no no no no no for an hour strait. I did them 100% all the way a ligitamitly. There is no abuse in what I did. They payed me for my time and they payed in cash shop currency. The game wins money when i spend it, the companies that did the surveys get their answers, and even the people that host the surveys get pain in their own way. So where the hell is the abuse in that!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as mashing on them, people do it all the time. get over it people like to nag when things go wrong, it's only a humans right to do so. without the nagging people won't know what's really going on.
I just wish this game was picked up by Gpotato or some other company, they would of made love with this game, and people would of loved them. Gpotato always kepts up with thier crap and had a great GM team.

I do have to say, the game was well made. I have actually been looking for an improved version of FLYFF for some time and was looking into this game back when it was still in just the asian countries. If you sit there and spend time reading all the dialong the story is very detailed and goes into detail. It's just like how I personaly would love a game to be. All dialong, lots of quests that chain together, and the occasional hack and slash slaughter everything feel. And to top it off it's not bad in the graphics side too. My wife enjoys playing her character and runs up to me going, hey look at my boobs. I just laugh at here. She hasn't really gotten into reading the storyline. If you havn't I would recomend it, that's what really makes a game good, it's not all about how fast or how much you can kill. It wouldn't be a role playing game if you just went and skipped all the dialong.
Yeah, I am, back when i played FLYFF I had made friends with the GM's so yeah, i'm sure
I do believe Flyff is the only game Gpotatoe exploited decently, witch would explain why you appreciate 'em.
They are kind of "pro" when it comes to turning a decent licence into a cash-shop / P2W fest... in my opinion.

The sex appeal is wonderful in the game. As for the item enhancements, yeah it's been done before. Then you got the pet system, it's not bad from what i can see, if you level up you pet, they actually give you pretty decent stat bonus's for each level gained. If you take the survey for the chance to win 2k AP remember to add some of your thoughts in detail about things you want to see in the game. In the survey they go into detail about things like, how would you like to see this, like crafting system, improvement on stuff like character clothing, pvp, wpvp, and they even get into other things. It's a decent game. Good enough for my wife to get into it. She hasn't been in MMO games since the original release of WoW.
Anyways, update on my status for my banning... It seems like I get no access to their site when I do around 500ap worth or surveys, If someone could experiment with doing around that much and get back to me about that I would appreciate it. I tried to take surveys again yesterday, did about 600ap worth of them, then all of a sudden my access to the game and website was cut off. I don't think they issue a temporary ban on people that do 500+ap worth of surveys, a simple 24 hour ban to prevent them from otaining more then that a day...
Due to financial failure GPotatoe (Gala-Net) was recently bought by Webzen, and have since then been 'streamlining' as much as possible by shutting down games, letting go staff, and closing offices. It is highly likely that they will cease to exist as a company in the next year or so.
