Which, of course, makes perfect sense, since Scotland is right above England, and basically the whole of Great Britain was sort of "Albion", whereas Hib was another island (Ireland), and Mid was of course, Scandanavia.

I'll probably always refer to them as hibs, albs, and mids. It may change, but if there are enough DAoC players coming to it, it probably wont.

Maybe by mythos, e.g. Norse, Celts, and Arthurians/Arths.

I hope they fix the historical inaccuracies in THIS game compare to DAoC.

    Arthurians ARE freakin' Celts.

The invaders were Anglo-Saxons and Romans.

Norse haven't even began to invade/populate Britain until around 700-800AD. That was WAY after Arthur's time (that was during the time of Alfred the Great vs Canute, you know the Alfred watched bread burnt in oven story).

I'm gonna be honest, I was interested in CU, but after reading that lore I'm stoked.

Currently playing: GW2 (Maguuma), DAoC (Uthgard), & Aion
Waiting For / Watching: TUG, CU, Black Desert, Archeage,Wildstar, and ESO.

In my opinion the faction names don't really roll off the tongue that easily, like albs, mids and hibs did in daoc.

So after some thinking, versions that roll a bit easier ;)

    Arthurians: Arties

    Tuatha de Danann: Dannies

    Vikings: Vickies, Viks, Vicks, AOE-instas, OP's ;)

    Methos, Armsman, EU Excalibur
    Jager, Infiltrator, EU Excalibur
    Phos, Cleric, EU Excalibur
    Mortify, Sorcerer, EU Excalibur

    Why not Arthurians -> Arthur Pendragon -> (Pen)dragons? :D

To be honest, treehuggers will remain treehuggers, no matter what fancy name they got this time :)

And stinkers remain stinkers, no matter if they stay in their midgard realm or come over raiding ;)

No offense included here: I respect my enemies! :)

    MMO's played so far:
    UO,EQ,DAOC,EQ2,GW,ROM,WOW,WAR,AOC,LOTRO,RIFT,TSW,GW2,POE
Looking forward to: Camelot Unchained, Star Citizen

I do like the term, "Norse" more then I do "Vikings".  Viking roughly translates into "expedition" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikings vs a geographical location.

This time the whole world is shattered, so everything is in ruin and the three factions will try to colonize the world for themselves (apparently the lore will explain why exactly they are fighting, but we don't know much about it at the moment). That explain why the Vikings and TDD would attack the Arthurians, and why we don't see any other civilization beside those three, they simply disappeared.
