If this Kickstarter is going live in March, time's almost up!

Hoping that Jacob's green lights CU Kickstarter Friday am.  I'm not sure if strategy wise it would be better to launch over the weekend but I wouldn't think so. However if CU Kickstarter is going to go live in March time is almost up!

I still need to decide what Tier I'm pledging. Damn, March has been a killer financially because of great Kickstarters!

    I'm hoping the kickstarter will include April the 30th (payday), so the later the better.

    Well, your credit card would not be charged until the campaign ends and is funded. So, even if you pledged tomorrow your credit card would not be charged until April 28, and you would not need to pay your credit card until whenever the billing cycle ends.

    That could be one of reasons that they've taken their time on it.  Besides that the time needed to properly hype, explain, and get feedback about it.  It's make or break really, so taking their time getting the ball rolling before dropping it down the hill.

    To me it seemed like Mark hinted(in other posts) about KS not starting in March.  Due to weather in the area messing up their work days, having to retweak KS tier after feedback, etc.

    I hope it does start soon, but won't be too shocked if it doesn't start before April.  If it doesn't start before the end of March, some more tier info would be nice...  or some video interviews.

    Yeah, given that Mark said he would release the rest of the tiers this week before the Kickstarter campaign starts, and they have not yet been released, I have my doubts about it going out this week. I suppose a week's delay is not a big deal in the long run, I am just eager to see all of the perks.

    Oooh good catch.  It was up when I created this thread.

     

    Honestly if Mark waits until April i'm ok with it as I'm for for gobs of money of Garriott's Kickstarter.  But I still suspect a Friday launch and now this web page clue makes me think Friday is a go.

    Somewheres, it was mentioned the site would be up and down for a while as things are being moved, set up, etc and doesn't always necessarily mean an update.

    As for the KS, I doubt they'll just spring it in a 24 hour period at this point. Announcing it for a few days to a week and having a countdown timer would allow more hype and preparation. So, my guess would be next Friday (April 5)  for launch.

    MJ has said that they will release a newsletter before the KS launches giving their eager fans a heads-up. So we should look for that first ;)

    My god how things change, people used to get psyched for upcoming games, now people get psyched to donate to a funding campaign for a game that might possibly go into production. Not mocking it, just an observation. I guess it speaks volumes about how hungry a segment of gamers are for what they hope to a quality product.

    lol.  True.  I think it speaks equally to how hungry a segment of gamers are for what they hope to be a quality product AND how disenchanted a segment of gamers are with what is on the market now and what else is coming out soon (e.g. Neverwinter, ESO).

    I think it's a sign of how consumers want mmo's to go. Today's mmo's have taken giant leaps backwords from the good old timer mmo's that offered so much more...UO, Asheron's Call, and DAOC to name a few, those were the good ole days or mmo'ing.

    COnsdering they are east coast, i dont expect to see the KS until next week. But i could always be wrong.

    Given that we haven't seen Mark post much in the past couple of days, I can only assume he's trying to crank away as hard as he can on the KS and get it out there.  Sometimes when you're in siege mode like that you do your finest work (I know I do when I'm working on a deadline like that).  But I don't expect to see anything today.
