Why do Eve online goes to the number MMORPG?

Well frist of all, i didnt mean Eve online sucks or whatever, i just wanna know why this game can always be on the top of MMORPG? and how good is it ?

    because the game doesn't have as many haters as the other game. and no, its not very good (imo). very dull and boring

    Someone made a post in another topic (Just like this one) and you are absolutely right!

    Nobody really hates this game and everyone thinks it is pretty good ... they don't like certain things about it but overall thier opinion is higher than most other games.

    Yes EVE has it's fanboys rating it at the max I'm sure .. but every game has those so I think it averages out. While I think EVE is just a slightly above average game I have to admit that it's size and depth are exceptional! The community in EVE is also very helpful, I guess this is why a game as old as EVE is still around and still growing (slowly, but growing).

    Kudos to the devs on this game also, they seem to really pay attention to what thier customers want.. one of the best groups if not THE BEST devs I have seen.

    Mainly because of the handful of fans here. That have created multiple accounts to rate games. So they'll spend a day or two giving Eve-Online straight 10s. While giving other games straight 3s or lower.

    Basically it should be ignored, and treated as inaccurate.

    But if that were true, then wouldn't all the other MMORPGs have their own fanboys and fangirls doing exactly the same thing, and since Eve has a considerably lesser number of players than something such as FFXI or WoW, then wouldn't that mean it would have a less number of total fan-raters, meaning that real people (as opposed to the dummy accounts to give multiple ratings) vote higher more times for Eve than for other MMOs which would mean that other MMOs are excessively more inaccurate than Eve?

    this is so funny. 2 last weeks i have been enjoying how a lot of people are really pissed of with eve being on top. they cant live with it. it is awesome. come on!!! get over it!!! it is only a number. why are you so f*** up with eve being better rated than other games? what is the problem. you dont like it? ok, dont play it.

    anyway, i am not going to tell you to stop all this threads, couse i am having so much fun.

    some people are enjoying SOE's trouble, well, i enjoy EVE haters trouble.

    ps: ah, yes, this is one of my 314 accounts on MMORPG.com ::::20:: it was only me who took up eve online from the bottom of the ladder and put it up on top, while at the same time lowering GW and WOW down to where they belong ::::29::

    Why does everyone say that no one hates EVE? I hate EVE. They made a pile of shit out of a game with pirates, space ships, and a player run... everything. To do that takes actual effort. It has to be out of pure hatred for all gamers. Every other aspect of the game was mind numbingly dull.

    The only thing this game has, that most others don't: black background, space stations, and a time based skill system (for those of us who love waiting a month to go up one skill level). And, to top it off, a group of rabid fanboy followers who just won't admit that they got screwed out a couple bucks.

    I dont hate Eve, I hate SOME aspects of Eve (traveling takes too much time, not enough quests, not casual player friendly...) but in general I like Eve, its graphics, its player run economy, player built stations, etc etc. but I think that this game is for a small circle of players, becuase it takes a lot of effort and time to effectively become successful in-game. How it got the top rating, I dont know. I think someone said that some time ago Eve had rating of around 5-6 and then in the matter of weeks it got up to 8-9. I havent see it myself though so I dont know, but yes, Eve being a top game is not realistic becuase it doesnt fit most players. If it did, there would be several millions of people playing it.

    I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

    I am so sorry but I also agree that EVE was a T O T A L waste of time and money. Yes. It is the "games pace". Called BOrrrring! Games are all about pace fool that is why they are games. EVE is like a second job you pay a salary  instead of the other way around.

     

    But like all games .. name one. from Planetside to Everquest .. to even that dirt bag of an excuse for a game Shadowbane .. you have that set community of uber reachers who lucked/stole or guilded into great stuff and can not hit the deleat button.

    Play it and move on if you like. I will only promise that you WILL move on.

    Could have sworn we answered this thread....what.... yesterday? Didn't we take that one to 14+ pages?

    I think we need a sticky thread on this subject.... or better yet, MMORPG should add a navigation tab, at the top, right next to HOME, on Why Eve Is Number One ::::38::
