The only MMORPG that is a java app (which you dont have to download) that i know of is runescape, which is free. there is also ogre island, which i sa flash i think so u dont have to download that. Besides that i dont kno. btw out of the 2 i would suggest runescape.

Beggers (Freebee Players) can't be choosers. ;-)

If what you mean by no-download is something that stays in browser cache, Runescape is really your primary choice.
If you can get away with a small download, Dofus is Flash based and I believe no larger than 30-50 MB.
Other than that, there's really just things like Kingdom of Loathing and other browser-based stuff, or telnet to MUDs. Which is actually something I'd suggest if you're stuck on NO download restrictions and can do without petty things like graphics or sound. Not that many are terribly brilliant, but any decent MUD that stays up does so out of community, and that's one of the best parts of any game.

Runescape
Puzzle Pirates
Ogre Island
That's all I can think of. There's also adventure quest, that isn't really an MMORPG though..
Other than that there sn't really any good java MMORPGs. Maybe you should try some text based games.
Kingdom of Loathing? ;-)
