Would you increase your pledge if necessary?

SorninSornin Member Posts: 1,133

I have seen a few posts by people stating that if Camelot Unchained was in danger of not being funded, they would increase their pledge. So, here is a poll to see how many feel that way!

Feel free to state what you currently have pledged and what you would change to, if you would at all.

Myself, I have pledged $3,000, and if I felt it would make a difference I could see myself going to $5,000.

I already increased mine lol, from 50 - 110. I don't think I will go any higher as that is my budget as of late :(.

I would if I thought it would make the difference. I only got the 110 tier. But would jump to the 250 if I thought I needed to. I'm also wondering if CSE has a bit of a slush fund to help them over the hump. My band used KS to get new recording gear and such. We didn't need it, but we had a bit of cash set aside to push us over the limit if it got close enough.

I paid for the IT tier, if it was in danger of not funding or maybe past funding depending on how enticing the stretch goals sound i would easily pledge another 100-200 bucks.

I'd invest another $100 if I thought it was needed.

I already gave all I could.  And now I am scheming to explain the credit card charge once the project funds. :(

But I am starting an advertising campaign amongst all my friends and guild mates.  I’m sure we can do it.

I'd strongly consider going up to either the $175 or $250 from my current $110 if it came down to the last week of the Kickstarter and the game was pretty close to funding but still short (say, $1.75 mil). I don't see myself donating more than $250. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Yay!  Glad you got your $110! :)

I don't think we'll need to up our pledges since we can buy more Founder's Points. That will help fund it the rest of the way.

your audience for upgrade would be sub $100, those that could double there would make a huge difference....asking people that submitted $1000+ is not feasible

i took the 250...would go to 350 if it would help

nearly half of the backers are sub 120

I could afford to triple my pledge if necessary. But I doubt we'll need to.

Yes, I agree with you. There are going to be thousands of pledges in the $25 - $200 range, where it is usually financially feasible to double the pledge. A fair chunk in that region upgrading could easily add $200,000 in short order.

It will be interesting to see how the pledge rewards change over the campaign, if at all, to encourage more pledges. Will they increase the rewards in the mid-range to convince low-range people to upgrade, or increase the rewards all around to simply try to pull in more new people? The former may be more effective as if you up the rewards all around people may have less incentive to upgrade since they already got more.

    Anyway, we shall see!

I'd go up if I have to. I'm still advertising it to the guild and server in gw2 so hopefully that'll have a larger impact than doubling my funding.

Being one of the few in the high tier donnors. I wouldnt increase it by too much

I'd double to 10k and trade the Inn for something even grander! Though that permenant piece of real estate would have to be pretty grand. I would have considered it if there were something permenant in the persistent world, but oddly the 10k tier did not have anything like that.

The $10,000 option, in my opinion, should include either an island or the inn on top of the trip and such. It is the most premium tier there is, and right now there is not enough in-game incentive.

    Just sayin'.

I bought the IT tier and would lose IT testing if I upgrade.  I am not willing to drop $750 on the game.  Would consider buying FP's.

i took a warrior forever pledge but will upgrade up to 1k living large if by the end of the kickstarter we still be short 100k or so.

Bought 3 - 250 pledges but if it was needed I might consider another 100-200 bucks. Why 3 -250 and not just 750 cause there is 3 of us who play in this house and we all wanted our own stuff including 3 years of play with $1 a year after that . so it was compromise time.

I basically pledged all I could, but I could go from a 1k to a 1.2k pledge if it's coming down the the wire. Keep in mind, folks, that even if you pledge higher you can still take the rewards from a lower tier.
