Jairon Kalach checking in. I didn't pick the IT tier specifically, but I did make sure I got in there. For me, the excitement is less about the game and more about participating in the process and being able to help shape the game. Looking forward to this. :-)
Edany Revere (or Cerases, depending on the game) checking in.
I don't have the technical background / IT background that a lot of you have, although I did start my college life in Computer Programming, so I'm not completely useless.
Have done some previous Beta testing, and have been gaming since The Realm and Ultima Online.
I currently specialize in Accounting and Number Crunching. I also enjoy writing detailed and lengthy reports (call it a sickness), and combined with me being self employed and setting my own schedule, I'm hoping to be able to contribute quite a bit to the process in any way that I can.
I was real tempted to get the IT tier, but having been in the same position with two other MMOs I'm well aware of the time and dedication it takes.. I just can't count on being able to do that this time around.. I do hope people take to heart what Mark is looking for with the IT tier because while its fun, it's also a lot of work...
I chose a package with the option to participate or not, but I plan to. :-) I typically work night-shift at my job, so it can be a little hard to tell, so that's why I went that route.
A little bit about me. I have been a Linux SysAd for the last 11 years, hobby programmer for 17 years, and been making music for 24 years. :-) I've never actually done any alpha game testing, but am quite familiar with the process. I have been on several beta tests with a few big titles such as Vanguard, WAR, and Rift.
Excited to work beside ya, Gobbo.
My name is Plastic-Metal and my name is an oxymoron.
Signed up for IT, having done it before a few times in the past for friends & family alpha's. It is often extreemly bare bones. Like you may have a flat green field, and you are only testing combat animations. Nothing else what so ever for. Just hours of using the different attacks to find visual glitches, or things that just don't look right when the chracter is in motion. Your not actually fighting anyone, just swinging at air or possibly a dummy.
This is just one small example of my past experinces.
no experience with testing before, but i am a c++ developer and hope that I can help a lot with Camelot Unchained
Edit: Waving to all the names I read over the last months here. Keep on discussing the game on that high level. I am proud to be part of the community here.
MMO's played so far: UO,EQ,DAOC,EQ2,GW,ROM,WOW,WAR,AOC,LOTRO,RIFT,TSW,GW2,POE Looking forward to: Camelot Unchained, Star Citizen
Hiya. Look forward to testing with you. I did software development for my undergrad many years ago, but now primarily focus on networking. Played many mmos and done beta tests (though not many alphas). I like crafting systems and look forward to testing that. I started out in MUDS so graphic systems dont bother me.
^ Just remember IT is nothing like Beta or Alpha. But if you can deal with not really playing a 'game' persay, dedicate time consistantly and follow directions, it shouldn't be too hard to stay with it.
Really, it'll take the Alpha phase before anyone gets to even test the 3D engine and get some resemblance of a video game to play.

if you are refering to me, i have pretty good idea what IT will be like since i am amateur programmer no, my problem is that i have a life and fulltime job, so i dont have that much free time, especially during weekdays.
While I have beta tested many games the real eye opener for me was testing undrawn areas or areas one quarter drawn in Guild Wars, the first one, their alpha.
And I can say I had the greatest satisfaction from that alpha seeing our input change the world as they created it.:)

Hi folks,
With tears in my eyes and a happy heart I am checking in.:)
An "Angel Donor" provided my way in and only asked in return I "pay it forward" someday when I am able, which I will surely do.
Let's help Mark make history again and create more memories with CU.
Woot nice Glynne!
Awesome, glynne. Welcome!
Fantastic.
