in World of Warcraft
 I am about to quit xbox and start a pc MMORPG.  i can't decidebetween DAOC and WOW.   I much prefer PvP thanPvE games. I really enjoy robbing other players but thatcan't be done in DAOC. Can you do that in WOW?  How is PVP in WOW?   How does it work?   are there any "overpowered" classes?  Any advice would be appreiated

    DAOC has a much more tangible PvP then WoW does. Currently in WoW you can have fun PvPing but thats about it. You dont get tangible rewards other then one type of armor/weapon for your class, and you have to grind honor points to obtain that, and if you stop playing for a while, you can lose your rank.

    WoW PvP is very fast paced though and is fun, but it doesnt offer much else as in DAOC. ANd you cant steal items. So if PvP is your main style, then i say go with DAOC.

    I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

    well in a previous MMORPG I played the only thing Thieves (rogues) could steal from other players was gold. This wasfun because everyone needed gold to heal and buy equip, weapons...etc.  So stealing gold and trying to not get killed for it was fun.  Can you do this in WOW, DAOC or any other MMORPG???

    i've never heard of this in any mmorpg and i doubt it will ever happen to that extent. because who wants to play a game for a long time or spend a lot of gold on an item only to have it stolen 5 minutes later. i really don't see this happening.

    In the game I was playing, every town had a bank where youkept your money but you could only access it from that bank in that town.   Some people would carrysmaller amounts of gold on them while traveling from town to town and that's how it's possible to rob them.   The "world" in that game was much smaller though.  SO, in this game PVP is simply who can kill who....right?  that's all there is to it, who's the most powerful?

    Well WoW is fun I will say but everyone is level 60 and everyone has good gear because the game is so much easier then others. PvP is fun but its beginning to be the only place to do it is BG if you want a game where it feels like everyone is awesome get WoW. I play WoW and lineage 2 myself

    No u cant steal gold from players in WoW, BUT u can steal gold from NPCs, you pickpocket most of the humanoids that have pockets and its always gold and sometimes item or two (usualy junk but sometimes a gem or locked box with goodies inside)

    To tell you the truth, WoW is the ONLY game where I enjoyed playing a rogue. So i think you will like it as well.

    I dont know about pickpocketing player chars in DAOC< but i highly doubt u can do that.
