I haven't gamed in awhile now, but if you know me then you know that I would come out of retirement for another chance to game in a player community that by far surpassed anything else.
Dark Age of Camelot is being reborn.
Anyone up for another adventure?
if your all still out there let me know....
I believe we have another chance for a magical, much missed and hoped for experience.

It's not DAoC reborn. If you're looking for the DAoC experience, you're going to be sorely disappointed.
Skatchamagowsa!!!
If you played during the time frame I did you would know this.
Also "the experience is what you make make it to be"
Looking for the "Old School"
I know your out there
Sharpen your blades and dust off your shields!
We have been absent too long
Here is a nearly identical thread that you might want to check out if you want to connect with some "old schoolers."

Looking for some old friends I know your out there!
DAoC to me wasn't just the great PvP in Frontiers, it was also the great PvE and quests/lore in the non-PvP home areas (my opinion). As far as I know Camelot Unchained will not be reproducing the PvE areas/lands/quests/lore as they will be the PvP Frontiers areas.
That is great news for a Player that spent most of the time in Frontiers and subscribed specifically for PvP, but I did both and for me to consider CU as a faithful reproduction of DAoC the Devs of CU would have to reproduce the whole of what DAoC was both PvP and PvE..
AFAIK The Devs of CU have no intention to reproduce the whole game. I therefore have no intention of playing CU.
I await a real honest DAoC rebirth or a DAoC2 that is faithful to it's first incarnation.
I wish the Devs of CU and the Players all the best. Have a good old fashioned rumble and stop by from time to time to tell us about it.
Be Well my old Comrade or Adversary.

I am not old skool but I am looking to play CU... I missed my chance at DAOC... didnt own my own computer in them days to commit.
I think those days might be gone.
Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is!
I would surely hope this dev guy is not putting all his effort into just luring in old DAOC vets to turn a profit from gaming.I would hope he is trying to create a really good and hopefully unique game.
I played ALL those older games, imo they are not good anymore and a dev trying to rehash those game ideas is a bad game designer.Even if one is stubborn and just can't let go of those old games then realize they can be made better in every single aspect, those old games had a couple good ideas here and there but imo never fully realized and that si why those old games never did very well.
I am even smart enough to realize my fave old game of FFXI could be rehashed but needs a lot fo work a lot of improvements and tweaks to make it really good or as i said ...BETTER.Why settle for ancient old game and game ideas that were 20-50k game builds, they are just crap by now day standards.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Mark stated numerous times (starting from Kickstarter in early 2013) that this will not be DAoC 2, besides that there is lots of people coming from WAR and so on. But CU will be a game on it's own, using experience and some good mechanics from previous ones.
