At this point I'm sure the people who want CU to succeed are already talking about it.  Now it's time for CSE to secure more exposure for their project.

Yes I see alot of people saying they don't like the idea and won't pledge and I think that that is ifne. I on the other hand throw my money away on games probably once a month to try to get some enjoyment like I had with the RvR in Daoc. I think MJ has been forth coming and honest. He has taken you in to his current studio and showed you his team. He has showed you his personality and humor. He has showed me that he wants to make a game that he would want to play. I don't think that this game has any bad ideas and they have said that there ideas are not for everyone. I don't get why people would bring down a game and or critisize the team and there efforts to show you some of the basics they have in mind. Saying the engine is BS is garbage. I know my computer couldn't put a current engine on it with 10K moving objects and not lag out. I would say that 95% of rigs out there could not do this. None the less it also looked like it was doing that on a laptop... Hmmm. I would love to give CSE 2 thumbs up for there creativity and there tolerance for ignorance.

dont know about others but for me its cause im sick of seeing this game. everywhere i go on the forums CU is all over the place and about everyother damn argument or topic is about CU there are dozens and dozens of threads all about the same thing and about 4-5 timaes a day a new threa is started about how and why we are wrong for not throwing money at this thing.

people are getting sick of this and i for one will be happy when this kickstarters is done with so i dont have to see it all over the place anymore.

i put up this idea to the mods before about giving people the option to block out a specific games forums posts it would clean up soooooo much on this site.. basically you could have a check mark next to the games on the big gamelist and if you check that game any post in that games forums will not show up in the current forum activity... wish they would put something like that in

i guarantee a good bit of the trolling that goes on would die down if this was put in :).. but almost none of the ideas that were put forth in the past have been put in so don't expect this on to be in..

The term troll gets abused much.  Since everyone can see a list of the most recent posts, and anyone can join in to discuss or dispute or agree with anything said (ie discussion), calling disagreers trolls is only calling attention to a fear of disapproval, or some sort of need to justify decisions made, while rejecting counter arguments.

But it would be nice to just completely block the CU general discussions, all the same .. while just paying attention to big picture analysis of CU topics in the PUB or outcomes in the NEWS sections, etc.

i say trolling in terms of when someone just posts how much a game sucks with no context in every single news article or even regular posts in a games forum... but you give said person the ability to much block that game out and you get into the out of site out of mind which would cause less trolling.. a good bit of trolling is already removed by mods but it would save them a good amount of time as I'm sure numerous people who do troll do so because they see posts about any said game over and over and over in the recent forum activity and feel they "need" to post even if they have no interest in the game at all

I do not understand why everyone is trolling saying they aint paying money to it.  If you do not support then do not pay money, stop trolling the post though because others will and do support it.

One thing that you should keep in mind Amjoco is that most the mmorpgs being released these days have been ruined by the publishers and not the actual develpoment company.

If they release a great game I wonder how or if this will change the development of future mmo's. No more EA or SOE to buy out your favorite MMO company and ruin their games.

Lets give this the game the benefit of the doubt and say it becomes a smash it. You truely believe that if that happens, all future titles from that company will be free of production companies? Are we the fans and the players supposed to keep paying these people to make a game that in the end, we will still have to buy (monthly subs and the like, if they offer the title free as a bonus for throwing money at them)? Not gonna happen. The game hits it big, a Producer sees the $ and desides to back them. End of story.

I would like to know how you think Kickstarter, made to give companies a kickstart not to keep comanies afloat, is going to save everyone from the likes of EA or SOE.

Maybe you should look up what a 'troll' is.

Grunch - your opinion. I think most players are spoiled little people who whine so much when something doesn't go their way.

If this game had something to show other than horrible tech demos, it might have a chane. Not so sure.

I hope people will get a chance to play, but a PvP only game will not draw many players.

It's bad enough being forced to endure signatures telling me to back the damn thing, now you're asking people to advertise across multiple games as well?

When RMT spammers pop-up, they get insta-blocked by the majority of people.  Expect to meet a similar fate, because you'd be no different.

While a rule banning people from mentioning MMOs is downright ludicrous, there should certainly be something about begging in signatures.

well people obviously can troll in every post they post in with their signature as I'm sure you have seen a few so guess advertising is fair game as well heh

If it was for something like WoW Unchained I would agree with you but it is for a DAoC style mmo.

If you played DAoC (back in the day specially) you would understand why players want this to succeed.

"I'm sorry but your mmo has been diagnosed with EA and only has X number of days to live."
