Does anyone else have wierd requirements before playing an MMORPG?

LordMagnusLordMagnus Member CommonPosts: 1,322

Like me..

See, I just can't play an mmorpg that isn't either:

1.In a Sci-Fi setting.

or

2.Is anime styled.

or

3.Is in a gothic setting.(Unfortunately there are none atm)

I know that graphics aren't important but i'm just wierd like that I guess. I would prefer a game with nice or cool looking graphics that require me to hack and slash over a game with crappy graphics that has a variety of things to do. I just feel like the graphics play an important role in the immersion of the game I guess.

Now, this is the problem though. It seems that all of the games which are released that actually meet one of my requirements are made by low budget companies.::::16::

Yup, i'm wierd.::::12::

EDIT: Added a third requirement.

I find it hard to play a game with less then 1 attack per second.  I typically like it if there are 5+ attacks per second.

Also Point and Click movement on a non-isometric view game is a big turnoff.

You might not like Point/Click movement, but if you like insane attack speeds, you should try (if you haven't) Ragnarok Online.  You can get insane with 10+ attacks per second if you play the right class.

I can't play anymore fantasy games.  I...I just can't.  Not anymore.  There's just too many.  I know it's just skins and crap, but jesus.  I just can't take it anymore.

It has to have a large fanbase. I don't like playing MMOs with almost no populations.

Yer alot of new games need decent systen requirements! So I got mine upgraded to a 3.4Ghz 64-bit and i got another 500GB Hard drive space :D and 1GIG ram.... So I should be okay for quite a long time... But soon i'll need another 250GB Hard drive with the way I download and the amount of MMORPG'S I play for the updates and I'm allways downloading anime...

My only requirement is to have a sexual relationship with one of the devs. Is that weird enough?

It's too weird, get out of my sight.

An MMO unless it is super good has to have WASD moving, I hate clicking.

    Kal Online is an exception.

It has to feel massive in regards to the population. I'd much rather all the hunting areas being absurdly crowded than to go from place to place not seeing another person. The more people there are to interact with the better, which is why I prefer the one server approach.

Its why mmo's arent mainstream cause they force players to buy thousand dollar systems; unless you can upgrade or build your own PC its a major wallet chewer.

Also with how much your going to spend on  250 GB hard drive, you can probably rent every single dvd your going to download ((and burn them to a DVD)); and have the option of hearing them dubbed.  Unless ofcourse you want to get a sneak peak of upcoming episodes that arent dubbed yet.
