is enough nvidia 6600 gt pci-e to run the game?

in Everquest II

Hi, i have a pIV 3.2. ghz with a 1 gig ram, and i want to upgrade my videcard, is a nvidia 6600gt a good choice? can that graphic card run smoothly the game?

    I would say definitely, but if you can afford it, get the 6800gt. It's reasonably priced and really kicks butt.

    Yes, I use to have a XFX 6600 GT (Till I burned it out ..Ick) but it ran the game great under moderate settings.

      Just remember to add alot of cooling.. more than usual or suffer a fate simular to mine.

    Oh, and if you havn't bought it I'd suggest a x800 instead because you can unlock it to reach 6800GT+ speeds at half the price.

    thanks for the advice, i have been thinking about it, and i have reserved a leadtek 7800 gt (aprox 350€). I want to power up my games with a great graphic card. Eq2 one of they.

    warning!!!

    If u do get the 6600gt.. please note, that if u are planning to use another one in sli mode it crashes the gameb (just everquest II) .. u will have to disable sli mode to play..(so annoying!)

    Iv been checking the nvidia driver realese notes for months and no joy!! 

    Im not sure about other cards.. u will have to check for know problems in the release note`s
