ArcheAge has a beautiful soundtrack, and after hearing the music style I have fallen in love. I'm humming the music at work ...not sure if thats good or not.
Listen to it for yourself. You are not going to be disappointed.

Very few games can pull off an awesome soundtrack. WoW, SWTOR for example. Some say AoC, but it doesn't compare.

These are from back in CBT5, but you get to not only hear the music, but also see the associated terrain.
Thanks as always to BCOFido!

I think the soundtrack to AA is beautiful, it's one of the few games that I play with the game volume on, and it inspires me to go explore the world more.
The Fertile Plains Theme song is my favorite one.

download the game and send me a PM with a screenshot of the loading screen(as proof) and I'll let you use my acc. It has around 10 days left on it. No joke.
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
I know quite a bit about music and i do enjoy great music in or out of games.
The third track maybe all of them sound generated, unlike FFXI that uses an actual orchestra for much maybe all of it's music.
That does not mean it sounds bad or can't be good, but it just doesn't have the overall FILL that an orchestrated theme has.
Those examples have a relaxing feel to them, which often i like in games because i like to play RPG's in a relaxed mode, but you do of course need a good mix.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Nothing wrong with the combat, if you are wanting action combat don't be supprised if EQNext doesn't have it either.
I never said anything was wrong with the combat, it just doesn't appeal to me. I do prefer more action/fast paced combat - The Elder Scrolls Online is sounding pretty good for that. No idea what EQNext will do yet so... we'll see.
But I love many of the features of ArcheAge. I will likely give it a shot and hope I don't find the combat boring as it is what you tend to do a LOT in MMORPG's.
Admittedly, in ArcheAge, I'd just want to build a home on some island, get some friends together, build a nice ship and sail/take part in naval combat.
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
I got spoiled with SWTOR's choreographed combat (one of the few things EA excelled at). But combat seems more of icing on the cake and can't make SWTOR have great gameplay or longevity if the cake wasn't very good.
In another style, action combat seems good at first, but all the dodges & rolls get silly and repetitive after awhile as well. I personally thought ESO's combat was just a lot of fluff with extra particle effects to hide the lack of animations (from videos, just my observation, maybe I'm wrong?). Action dodging in GW2 nerfed much of the difficulty IMO, as it became easy to evade combat, fully avoid damage... maybe with the right tweaks it could've been different..
We'll have to wait until August for the EQNext reveal. I have high hopes for that game as well.
Heres another great one to listen to while you browse around..
