Hey guys,
the news just got posted on our forums here in France and I thought I would let you have a look ! It was recorded on monday, with myself, Lacrima and Mr. Misan, the french community manager.
So sorry about our accent and the many, many, grammar mistakes, but we were quite nervous in front of the big guy
I hope you'll find some things interesting !

Great questions guys. I heard some stuff here I hadn't heard asked in other places. Thanks!
Unfortunately, some parts of the transcript were directly translated in french... And after 12 hours of work, I'm not really sure about going back into that nightmare, ahah
But I can try to gather what we have and post it here a bit later, yeah

Honestly, it's somewhat ironic that an interview from a foreign (in relation to CSE) interview had some of the most blunt, to-the-point, and interesting questions for MJ in this stage of the Kickstarter. Really. How is it that a couple dudes not entirely versed in the nuances of the English language can propose more interesting concepts than half of the websites on the developer's native soil?
Really, really good interview by a really, really goood site. Jeux has been doing great work for a while, and have applied their work ethic masterfully to Camelot: Unchained. Nice work, as always, chaps, but you know that. You have been doing it for years. Thanks for managing to facilitate a conversation that felt fresh (especially in light of conducting said interview with no new information other sites don't know about) and also not being afraid to ask questions that aren't merely back-patting and cow-towing. Not only does it add to your credibility, but it showed MJ's ability to express his vision for CU in a seemingly honest, forthright, real fashion. I hope people see that. Please advertise this over here MORE. I know I will.
And THAT, my friends, is game journalism.

Very very well done. I am a professional translator (French to English only though), and can also say the translation job was very good as well.
I am not a french-speaker, and so cannot comment on the quality of translation, but I thought the interview was spot-on. So well-done.

Haven't watched the interview, don't care. Have to ask though, where did you learn that people who don't natively speak english are "challenged" in the areas of logical thought, incisive questioning or (and this one made me laugh) "proposing interesting concepts"?
I am sure he is meaning that formulating those thought and questions is harder when your not speaking your native langues.
Excellent interview!
There is one subject that was brought up was about language support. I am not hearing about Spanish support. If you look at the US Demographics and consider the population south of the US border, Spanish support should come before French or German support. Spanish is the one language that needs to be explored to it's fullest as a nearly untapped market.

Dude. Not at all trying to cast aspersions on native English speakers or cause potentional arguments about the subject. If you haven't watched the interview and "don't care", then why are you even interested?
True story: this is the FIRST interview i have seen that asks potentionally incendiary and dangerous questions. Ironically, this should be the ONE you watch, but you have expressed no desire to, because it is the most primarily demanding and least pandering. I mean, c'mon, they are French. Sorry if that is racist, but I mean it as a compliment.
Also, i was in no way trying to inply that non-native-English speakers were in ANY SENSE AT ALL challenged in logical thought, incisive questioning, or interesting concepts.
IMPORTANT: I was wondering why it took two guys not as well versed in our laguage put into ENGLISH words better than any english speakers have the most important questions that pertain to this potential game.
Also, watch the interview.... the subject that this thread is predicated upon. Really. How apparent is that criteria?

Good interview.
I'm glad MJ is keeping it more of a family again with his CSE company. I think that was a huge impact on the success of DAOC. When you have people that like working at their company, the product is better. I remember reading a post in a blog that talks a bit about how EA basically ruined Mythic and the family appeal of Mythic.
