Great Google document, MJ should put it on the website:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/16-KiQ-LGWEr0QjfihJ8AZ5itidYV4aXbmdXwAHfOjgQ/edit?pli=1

Damons incredible FAQ, featuring information straight from MJ via comments, and made very easy to read:

With these two things, I imagine 98% of questions about the game can be answered. So if you've some question you want to know, and no one has responded to you when you asked, check these two things.

... great info it's still really didn't say anything about the game graphics, engine, or a working prototype for us to get a visual. So more of the same old stuff.

We know the Graphics will be DirectX 11, The Engine will be in house.

Everything you need to know? Really?

I've put together project outlines in ten minutes that had more substance than this.

..So we know nothing,  is what you mean?    Since most anything NEW being made or produced will be using DX11.

What a troll. MJ has shown off several in-game videos, concept art, and all that stuff.

And I highly doubt in 10 minutes you've done more than that, it contains so much information it'll take an hour + to read, even for fast readers.

Wiki is neat, but needs a ton of work.

There are no in-game videos. The only videos are:

    • prototype of the network architecture
    • preview of the rendering tech
    • in-engine demo for resolution checking
    • MJ and Scott yammering on about vague concepts and ideas
    • Oh, and don't forget the CU video demo of the server tech...using characters from the iPad game March on Oz

So please, O Wise One, enlighten the rest of us with these in-game videos.

As for concept art, it means nothing until its wrapped around a model.

It all adds up to smoke and mirrors, nothing more.

There isnt a finished game for them to make videos of.  They arent hiding something behind the curtain to jump out and get you.

They cant just make something quick to show off because they are building their own in-house engine from the ground up.  That costs money.  Andrew might be a nice guy, but do you really think he's just working on building all of that for free?

This isnt an advertisement for a finished product, this is a chance to have your opinions heard early in development and help influence the game as its created.

Even if you dont believe in the studio, or you dont believe in MJ.  Is $25 dollars that much to ask if you really love the ideas?  What about 5?  If you really support the ideas, but just dont trust that they will be implemented, pledge $5.  Why wouldnt you?

I'd rather add an additional $25 toward something I'm already backing and have more faith in, that's why.
