I'm not a huge fan of the working name of the race of dragon people introduced in update #19 but I found the website below that shows the word for dragon in many different cultures.

The two in particular that I really liked were Dreki and Th'uban (Dothreki might cause some legal issues eh? but sounds awesome)
People are complaining about the wing placement but consider this an explanation for this:
The piercing of the veil has caused many interesting changes as these races have come into our world some of that could explain this. The wings could have evolved into a lower position because when they came through the veil it changed them from normal dragons into this dragon hybrid race. Maybe this race is fighting to restore balance and return home and gain back flight and some other abilities they lost when the veil was pierced.
The beauty of a fantasy game is that others can take inspiration from the myths and change them in a way that is new and exciting and that is what the CSE crew is doing. If you are into it you don't have to pledge. If you don't like how it's being done - make your own game

The wings could be more vestigial. There are a lot of animals that still have biological features that don't really seem to serve a purpose anymore, but may have a long time ago.
There's a whole host of fantastical reasons that could be the case though. I just like that it's different than what most people show us.
As with CU, the new race name is working title.
I like you thinking on the names.
I know they can't rip off wheel of time, but this is what I thought of first.

I was thinking along the same lines both of you were regarding the wings moving as the race was transformed through the veil, and as a result were more vestigial. One of the concept art notes says something like, "Uses wings for dress/armor." Also, if the wings were just a shade higher, it's believable they could be used for gliding or steering short distances. Not saying to put it in game, just to sort of round out the logic lorewise.
I like the names you presented as well, but they'll probably want to invent their own as this isn't a directly historical or mythological race.
Side note, a RL friend who lives close by and sort of introduced me to DAoC went by the name Draghkar on Galahad. Although I think he just altered the named of his cologne bottle to make up a name quickly. Doubt he knew of WoT.
It's a working title.
Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy
The impression I got was that this creature was some sort of demonic entity, and thus the wings were there simply as a terror factor. This is a magical creature, outside the realms of evolution.
Wyvir or Wyviri for plural.
Combination of wyvern + vir (Latin for man).

The WoT Dragkhar I referenced I think was more batlike/vampirelike.
The St'rm looks more serpentine or dragonkin related.
I hadn't thought of demonic though. That's an interesting thought.
Althought I wonder if they may veer more away from demonic/hell theme stuff in this game. They made that distinction between darkness falls and the depths. DF was more hell/demon based. TD sounds more horror/ghost related.
Who knows though.

Ummm......how much for the figure? No....really......how much for the figure?
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself. ~Declaration of Arbroath
Flying Fish from Wikipedia
Exocoetidae is a family of marine fish in the order Beloniformes of class Actinopterygii. Fish of this family are known as flying fish.
So I am forming my names from this because that is what they remind me of.
All sound cool.

Depends on the realm, but if viking, then they remind me of the valkyrie. More properly they coud be called Drekimeyjar (plural, Drekimeyjur) or Dragon girl(s). Both would assume only female characters.
I don't think they would fit in the Arthurian realm, and I don't know enough about the TDD to make a suggestion.
I'm curious to know what reallm most people see them as being part of.
