But I do know people who do regret, they went back to GW2 lol.

    To each his own? Yep.

Some peopel just can't handle a brutal game like DF. And that's ok.

The most brutal part of Darkfall is Aventurine.

But my question is, does anyone that either pre-purchased the game or bought it after launch (both new players and returning DF1 vets) regret the purchase?  In other words, you've already decided you'll never play DF again and wish you hadn't tried it?

If you are in this category (you own the game now but plan to never play again) - what was your reason for giving up on DF already?  No need to give an 8 paragraph manifesto or full review, just a couple sentences.

    Thanks for reading!

    1) The UI is horrible, I actually think the horrible DF1 UI was better.

    2) The game runs so badly, lag freezes for 5 sec every 10 sec.

    3) It feels so... clunky... and laggy...

    4) Every time I grind mob I feel like im STRUGGLING to do so, because of the above reasons.

EDIT: Ive only spent 15 eur on this, since i was an old df1 player, but I still regret spending them, its not worth it. Most F2P games are better quality than this turd.

Looks like I'll stick with Age of Wushu till something else releases later htis year like Wildstar or TESO.

you complain about radial menus that is something for console game but on the otherhand complain about shortcuts.

i guess you never played oldschool mechwarrior.

Basicly you need a key to toggle your radials and the numbers 1-8....thats everything

Well I don't regret buying it (discount/DF1 - player) yet.

I like and don't like some of the new / "simplified from DF1" stuff. Somehow I get the feeling that UW was desinged with console - porting in mind... Dunno.

Biggest problem atm is jerky overall performance, but it'll get better.

Game needs some more depth and solo play options also but I think the start is better than with DF1.

I doubt they will port it to consoles, it plays horribad and unintuitive on PCs, let alone consoles, it would be a major train wreck.

Anyone else having optimization issues? My rig is mid-high and I'm barely getting 20 fps in this game.

This is what kills the game for me.. so yes, I regret buying this game.

Now without cheaters atm its close to what DF1 was, even tho this version is heavily dumbed down.

But if you ask "are you going to pay the sub for the next month"

my answer is no,i got what i wanted, they didnt improve their game so i cant expect them to improve it in the future either.

They  have chosen  their direction and i dont like it.

Damn that poll is showing - 42% NO more sub after the free month....  Ouch.  But hey this sums it up:

Darkfall's grind is kill 150 mobs for X prowess. in other MMO's we call that themepark and stupid.  In Darkfall it is called "sandbox" and a brilliant system.  Go figure, lol......

Nope, enjoying it, sub and all..  Only cost me 15 bucks, so worth every penny.. Don't think I would have paid 40 bucks for it though, so I kinda feel some folks pain if they paid full price on it...

I bought 2 account when cheap £12 each I think.

no regrets, no idea how long I will sub tho, really depends on how fast they patch in content and the population.
