    Eve is doing the whole 14 day trial thing.  I believe the game itself is free.  It's a very cool game, the whole deep-space deal was never my thing but I could see even myself getting into it.  Tons of trade skills and some crafting.  Game performance is good, my PC is not that great but it have a good connection.  Good looking game.

    You can buy the game in a CD.

    Linkyag

    You can buy that, UK only (I think) (Probably American shops that sell) (Or wherever you live) and get 30 days free, and for £5 you ain't losing much.

    You don't need a powerful system at all to run EVE...but I would still shoot for 1 gig of RAM, and at least a ATI X800 or nVidia 6600 video card (you can go as low as a nVidia FX5200 card, which is what I actually still have).   You could build a system to run EVE off $700 would be my bet.

    Pyros is right, while the games says 256mb ram... more is better and it's really cheap right now... go with 1Gb that way if you want to move to a different game you have it.

    I will state that up until a couple of months ago I was running EVE with a olllldddd Gforce 3 card and it ran good, however on my new card it lookks much better.

    Witty saying to amuse you goes here.

    I ran EvE on my present system and it was fine.

    CPU = AMD Athlon 2800
    Motherboard = MSI k7n2g
    RAM = 1 Gig
    Graphics = Nvidia FX5900XT 128 meg

    EvE should run well on quite low end systems as it has a very low polygon count compared to most MMORPG's

    Enjoy ::::20::

    One thing to note ...

    EVE is a pretty deep game and it is easy to get lost and discouraged.... stay with it, it takes time to be able to really play and understand what is going on. Do not wander out of security space until you have a understanding of what is going on.

    The community is pretty helpful... find a mentor or a corp that can help. I my original corp all the noobs did a good bit of mining and slowly built up to being guards and eventually bounty hunters that went out looking for trouble.
