I LOVE PvP!!!!!!!!!!!
I currently play CoH (but have no idea how to fu**** do pvp in this game) and i used to play GW all the time in PvP.
I really want a game with good PvE and team based stuff, but with tons of PvP. As in huge scale battles (sort of like battlegrounds) plus like 4v4 8v8 10v10 15v15 etc. were alot of the community play the PvE to get good then transfer over to PvP but still play PvE. If u get wut im saying...
Does any one have any reccamendations of games that are already out like that or games that r coming out with stuuf like that.
Thank You, i will really appreciate the help
Cheers

You are not going to find to much with this artifical "safe" PvP team junk (1x1,2x2,3x3,4x4, 6x6 10x10) If you like that stick to GW or WoW. Outside of these 2 games is gets risky as there are no preset "teams' or "battlegrounds" to fight over a flag in a safe little instanced map.
DAoC is the best choice if you want to get into PvP on a realm scale. The realm war has an actual inpact on the game. Possesion of Relics effect everyone in the realm/server. Castles and towers must be taken and held. They are not instanced and reset when you are done.
L2 for a more individualized PvP play experience. There are no "realms", "kingdoms" or "teams". The game revolves around guilds. At higher levels PvP also is heavily influenced by Seiges and ownership of the castles. It is open PvP environment so don't expect anyone to wait for you to gather a "team" before they wack you. Nothing in L2 is instanced.
I'm looking forward to the launch of Roma Victor for the PvP, they have a twitch-based combat system for real skillz, I can't wait to be fighting as a gladiator in the Arena!

double post
I'd say world of warcraft is for you. Become lvl 30+ and you pvp all the time, everywhere(STV anyone? ). Plus you've got great battlegrounds like alterac valley 40vs40
Uglyyyy!
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
Just roll hoard where there is no wait at all because your the only one there. I knew that and I don't even play world of warcraft.

Shadowbane.
1. Anarchy Online - currently the best PvP game out. Lower level players have a legit chance of killing much higher level players. You can even take other player's land. AND you can defend your own land even while you are OFFLINE. (This is what makes AO stand out above all other PvP mmorpgs.) Has the most versitile PvP. (PvP for landcontrol, PvP to kill others, PvP to gain special PvP-related points and bonuses, and more.... )
2. EvE Online - Nice, deadly, PvP. Steepest learning curve out of all mmorpgs. Mandatory one joins a guild/corp to get into the game quicker. (You can solo also, but you have to play smarter, and not be the type who wants instant gratification in 1 day.) This is a space only game. Best to play the free trial first. Not all players like being in space all the time. Some enjoy it from all other mmorpgs which have one on land all the time LOL! (Except EQ, which has the best underwater features out of all mmorpgs. Wish they would add more underwater features!)
3. SWG - I personally liked its PvP during its first 4 months of release. It has now drastically changed. For the worse? I would say it is just much different. Not better than before, just... different. Still worth playing and checking out. SWG has PvP on land on many different planets AND in space!
4. DAoC - Good PvP. Alas, after one side logs off, they cannot protect their gains.
5. AC - Special mention. Playing on its PvP only server is still fun. Still a heart attack experience.
6. Strive For Power - Yeah the graphics are nothing special. Reason I mention it is.... it is the ONLY mmorpg with ... *drumroll*... permadeath. This game is NOT for the faint of heart, the timid, the impatient.
7. Runescape - It now takes much longer to get into the game. They now force new players to go through the newbie tutorial. But the PvP is still unique and good enough that this game should be mentioned. Hardcore PvP takes place in the far northern area of the map. You win, you get to instantly
LOOOOOOOT
95% of your enemies items! Take their armor, gold, food, TAKE IT! And nothing they can do about it. Of course, if you lose, they get to instantly loot your beaten butt also heheh. AND even the PvE is brutal. If a monster kills you, other players can instantly loot your remains
These are the best mmorpgs that are currently out, that have proven theirselves to have good PvP.

Ok PvPr in CoH - go buy City of Villans. I believe you need both to do PvP (I know that if you want to PvP and have CoV they make you buy CoH so I am assuming you will need both games).
Now as for other games you are not going to find what you want. There are some good PvP games, but not in the style you want. First while PvE is good to get used to playing your character it certainly is a far different thing than fighting other players. Second, there is no game I am aware of that lets you fight in set small grounds at different levels all the way up to huge scale battles.
The closest you will find is DAOC. In it you have:
1. A huge amount of PvE content. If you play on the right servers you will find a lot of people leveling up characters.
2. You can theoretically level your character practically from level 1 in PvP if you want via their battlegrounds. I do not think you can actually get XP unti level 15 from it, but you can kill them. Battlegrounds are level restricted to keep things more equal between the players.
3. There is the frontier where it is large scale open battle. Sometimes it will be one group of 8 running into another group of 8 killing them, or 1X1, but other times it is a huge army versus another huge army. However, there is no restriction to keep the battle 8x8. When someone sees an enemy they are likely to engange the enemy even if you are already fighting them.
If you want wait until 2007 then there will be Warhammer.
Irth Online has open pvp. Good looking game, 4 kingdoms, 3 of which are warring. 1 civilization is peaceful, immune to pvp, but the other 3 are pvp oriented with no comletely "safe" areas. Has a UO feel with all the skills and craftable items only 3D, similar gain system.
WoW ofcourse is an intense PvP experience. You dont really get to indulge in it until higher lvls tho. 2 warring civs, lvl based, good graphics.
best pvp i've seens so far you'll still find in tibia.
