take your time getting to 80, do not rush, do every zone, dont skip them. because once you hit 80 the game sucks.

Beautiful lush world to explore and complete maps you get nice rewards plenty secrets also game screams exploring.

    Enjoy it dont rush it.

At 80 still plenty to do and from lvl1 you can jump into WvWvW PvP also.

    Very good post above me!

I would also add, do your dailys and your monthly to get 1 laurel per daily and 10 when you complete your monthly.  Getting 30 laurels will net you the best necklace in the game!

Don't go into it expecting it to be a primary MMO that keeps you playing year after year.  It can be fun at times, and some of the vistas are quite beautiful, but the gameplay is fairly shallow for everything but basic PvP, which even gets old fast with the limited maps.

    You make me like charity

If you can not play an MMORPG that doesn't rely on the Holy trinity, do not continue with GW2, it doesn't rely on what many MMORPGs rely on.

If you are not social, and [need] a mechanic in game that forces you to socialize, you will not like GW2.

If you are only interested into endgame raids and/or gear treadmill, you will not end up liking GW2 in the long run.

If you like PVP but don't like it skill based, impatient as far as modes and maps go, and would prefer to have it where who ever has the most time to grind out the best PVP gear, you will not like GW2's PVP.

As far as your taste in combat, animation, and etc it's subjective, people(can't say some or many) like it and people don't. It's all on you, in this case understand that the You, the player can make the best of the game if you wish. That actually goes for any game to be honest.

Fion's post had a lot of good tips he pretty much /thread, but I want you to understand the above so weeks later if you so happen to be a person who can't play, understand, or doesn't believe that a MMORPG can be an MMORPG without that shit, that you have been warned least by me.

Oh and don't get me wrong there are plenty of MMORPGs that have the above and IMO are not lame and etc. Though I do understand people don't believe in such MMORPGs that do not have such, I don't know if you do or not, so these are tips and warnings. In hopes this will prevent future b/s from comming, but eh well.

Hope this helps...if not well hell least you can't say you didn't know such n such.

I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.

I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.

P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)

Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.
