honestly, put them where YOU want them. its your game, you're paying for it. its your fun.

if you listen to someone who says you have to be specced this way or that way, you won't have much fun (unless you actually ike that spec)

What type of rogue do you want to be? Is dps more of a concern, or concealment?

Definately consider your play style and then try out certain talent points. My suggestion is to go with one build for a few levels and only respect when you feel it absolutely necessary. Respec'ing talents will cost you increasingly more gold, capping at 20g.

Also, consider checking out the rogue class site on the official forum. You'll notice a number of players put their talent tree in their sigs.

As said in the end it comes down to personal preference and how u want play PvP/PvE etc. Theres a good guide on the US Rog forum with some talent builds, there are some points that are in nearly all builds, such as master of deception, imp ss, and imp backstab, most common seems to be something around  21/8/22. WIth this you get Cold blood(100% crit on an atk, generally used for ambush) and imp sap, so this build is good for pve and pvp. In the end down to you.

Top respec is 50gp afaik, was when i respecced last

Edit: Sorry got name wrong of 100% crit talent, is cold blood not seal fate. REst is same

Just an FYI it would tak 30 points into Assassination Tree to get Seal Fate ( at 100% crit chance) so 21/8/22 won't work for it.

To the OP : Just go with what you think will be good that is why they have repecable talentsimage

Hi All4n, I can't really help with the Rogue Talent thing, as I've never really played one, really not my thing but maybe this will help. The website http://www.thotbot.com is a wonderful source for just such a thing, they have full ability trees, talent trees, item database and player suggestions on what talent builds to choose and what they do best.

The only problem is you have to weed through alot of downright childish behavior, but it's a great do-it-yourself type of site. Hope this helps.

I have a level 47 subtiety rogue. I put all points into subtiety (except for 5 points into +1 dodge) I tried combat rogue as well but i dont like it, it MAY be slightly more DPS, but its not as fun for me. In my opinion, subtiety rogue is more of a "sneaky defensive ambusher" then "silent assassin" or "deadly ninja" type. In emrgencies, subtiety rogue can replace a tank for a short time. Combined with engineering, subtiety lashes out HUGE initial damage, capable of killing cloth wearing players in a few seconds, ambush, stun, stab stab, and there you have a fresh recruit for the forsaken army.

I personaly believe Subtiety rogue is the only "true" rogue, all others are just a roguish variation of a warrior because assassin or combat rogues tend to dual weild maces/swords for higher DPS, thus unable to use dagger only skills like backstab.

My advice, read each talent and decide what u like more.

I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.
