I'm not going to worry too much about getting into Beta myself at this point. It's good to know that it's starting because that tells me that it shouldn't be too far from release, yes? Then again, Dark and Light went to beta even before WoW did.
Does anyone have any idea on when they're shooting for for releasing the game?
These guys really know fantasy immersion, im expecting a lot out of the crew working on this game. I got my beta email a few days ago, guess I can just cross my fingers and hope for the best.
I like the sound of that. Maybe, MAYBE, they devs of this game have learned from the flaming piles and err steaming piles of all those that came before it. I'm starving for a new mmo.
I filled out my SoH ap a week ago. Got a test code for Rise of Legends. I'm not complaining but It was a little wierd. I hope they still know that I filled out the SoH and not the RoL app.
killing time playing other games while I catch myself checking mail all to often, excited that BETA1 has been announced, it feels like Santa is around the corner
From what they write 300 already invited and only those with very highend systems. So if you want to get into early beta then go upgrade your system. Later they probally take different hardware platforms but as they write they aim for tomorrows computer not yesterdays.

Brad, the head for the game right now, sad that he expects the beta to last 9+ months as he wants the game to be good and ready for launch.
aaaaaaand I quoted the wrong person. This was in response to the person asking how close release was. Beta for this game is in 5 stages: beta0, beta1, beta2, beta3, and beta4. In all honestly it's best to shoot for beta3, as this was stated as being the point at which they need a good number of people because they will be adding the bulk of the content to the game. I'm guessing that they will wait until after E3 for launch so that they can take advantage of the publicity, as the game is being advertised solely by word of mouth at this point.
