Hi folks,
I am searching for a MMO to play, have been MMO hopping for quiet a long year because of my girlfriend which couldnt decide for a MMO to play...
Now, without her, I just need some opinions what to play...
Game should have both PvE and PvP options, shouldnt take too much time to get to endgame but should have enough contend to keep me busy one or two hours per day... I pretty much dont care about the setting as long as its not too much of a shooter or too special about the lore like "Lotro"...Graphics shouldnt be outdated and overall there should be enough players to play with...
Hope you can help me, I just dont want to try every MMO out there again just to find my piece of cake
I should mention, I am from Germany so there shoul at least be an eu version of the game

Well Gw2 is eazy, buy once (its even cheaper now till 28th), can keep you busy if like to do follow achievements and making alts.
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
That will sounds funny but you know what game fits your request perfectly? WoW.
Indeed. IMO as far as themeparks go, and as long as you aren't burnt out on them, WoW is the way to go (for what you are asking). I'd throw Rift in there as well, very solid themepark.
played WoW since vanille, sorry I just cant keep playing this, realy like the lore and the setting but I am sick of it xD
GW2 seems like an option...I actually own the game, never grew familiar with the class system because of the lack of tanks and healers but maybe I should try it again...
you can make a "tank warrior/guardian" if you want. Its just a little bit different... instead of dropping only treat generator, you will be dropping banners (or shouts) and healling yourself in little intervals.
Play at your own pace, try whatever builds u feel confortable

Guild Wars 2 seems tailor made for your needs B2P and you can easely hop in 1 or 2 hours stop go further next day.
Game wrold looks great and plenty to do PVP is seperate from pve world.
Rift is good. I really had to make myself like it until I hit the higher levels. After 50, it's a different game, really great fun.
Rift is pretty solid. It's my placeholder MMO until perhaps ESO comes out. Play around with the souls to find a mix that you like and avoid the techno babble of the min/maxers on the Class Forums on the Rift website, at least at the beginning.
Played: UO, DAoC, Shadowbane, DDO, LOTRO, Aion, Rift, TERA, ESO
Sampled: WoW, AoC, GW2, Vanguard, Neverwinter
Playing: FF XIV
Rift is basically the bastard child of WoW and WAR......If you like either of thsoe you will probably like Rift, if you're tired of those then you will get tired of Rift quickly too.

Tried Rift, didnt felt very well....
Somebody got any other suggestions? Have I mentioned it shoul be something F2P or a game with a free trial period, just cant afford buying a gamelike tsw right now even if i am realy courius about this game )
Tera or Neverwinter but the more I play either of them, the more I appreciate Guild Wars 2 for what it is. And that is a true mind-blowing experience that doesn't make you feel like working to get the job done, its pure skill based game and it is your skill that matters. Solo-ing a GROUP event, pff, old news :P It really has those moments that make you hit your chest and say "Damn I'm so good/powerful" of course not before you sweat in a fight. Don't listen to the haters that tell you that Gw2 is 1-button game, it is far from that. Beating the toughest dungeons (which are nerfed now, thanks to the crybabies) and earning the dungeon master title/achievement is something to look for
Neverwinter.
It's free to play so you can play it for as long as you want without dropping a dime. The combat is similar to Tera/GW2 and the PvP/PvE is pretty good.
It also has a defined trinity system.

When I said i had "time", i meant virtual time, i got no RL "time" for you.
Another cynical post. You should try HKO OP.
(See atleast my cynical posts have a little fun too)
I think all jaded gamers should try it atleast once
No matter how cynical you become, its never enough to keep up - Lily Tomlin
Go play tetris then because there is nothing wrong with Gw2
I play MMOs for the Forum PVP
