Those dubious softcore, boarding on child pornography ads (Scarlet Blade) have been replaced by honest ads for Neverwinter. huzzah!
No matter what anyone thinks of Neverwinter as a game it should be applauded for what it has done for this website.

Don't worry, the last time the SB ads came down, they were back up the next day.

Even 'cheap', if it is indeed that in terms of the internet, costs money and if it wasn't generating clicks then they wouldn't be up.
In short it's safe to say that an apprecable part of the user base here (of which only a tiny fraction actively posts) at the least dosen't mind them or isn't offended by them. A lot of people probably actually like them and find them of interest.

You really don't know much about hosting. While I'm sure they make a profit. I guarantee they are paying hundreds if not thousands for the servers.
Also I imagine the ads get a certain amount of views based on a price and there is probably a premium that you can pay to get the day or something (like neverwinter).

Do a little soul searching... maybe you have the problem.
I don't support the game and in fact said how hypocritical it was of them to put the ads up after they blasted the game... (in another thread) but not because of what was being shown, because it seemed to be something they didn't endorse. I got blasted for calling them out and now a month later people come up with these reasons?

But what Xzen says is my point. I don't need people to assume what they are seeing. I'd rather be laughed at for going to a site full of swords and shields and crazy awesome fantasy stuff than some scantily clad 12 year old chicks where the game advertises BLANTANTLY about their sexuality in order to attract people.
