Might be something interesting to a couple of players in here;

Nerdkingdom opened up a kickstarter last Wednesday for TUG.

TUG is a multiplayer open-world sandbox-RPG using new technology and social sciences to directly involve players in the game’s design.

    This game looks interesting, especially for Minecraft fans.  It obviously takes a big page from the Minecraft book, but definitely adds a lot to it.

    As a fan of that genre, I'm looking forward to this game.

    Wow this is awesome, definitely keeping an eye on this one, MineCraft v2.0 heh, those are the kind of things i expect from a sandbox, shame its not an true mmo though.

    The website itself is undergoing changes every day so be sure to keep an eye on that one as well ;)

    As a grad student in a social sciences field, I gotta say this looks pretty intriguing.  Will be glad to read up on the company and project some more.
