Benny................................
They pushed the release date back again, not a good sign, that's twice now.
This concept of allowing customers who preorder, a 2 week headstart of building their characters over retail customers, is not gonna sit well with some people. It's equal to allowing beta testers to keep their characters in retail, which is an unfair advantage over retail players.
Playing in a MMOG with those who can buy advantages directly from the developers, defeats the point of participating in a MMOG in my opinion.

So your against sonys marketplace thingy then?
Sheesh, you could at least acknowledge the original writer of the post, me.
Jorev, I believe the idea to let some people start early is great. Since this game is, for the most part, player to player interaction, someone needs to have some things crafted for everyone else to buy.
It's an Open PvP game. Giving certain people a 2 week headstart to gain an advantage is a horrible idea. Talk about imbalance from the start. Sheesh!
SOE's current station exchange is not direct selling. The station exchange is merely facilitating secondary sales of items by players, that already earned them in-game thru expended effort. If and when SOE changes it to sell items they create directly, then I will be against it.
RV is selling both coin and advantages directly which are not earned within the virtual world, simply fabricated for real money purchasing, a disgusting concept which ruins immersion and defeats the purpose of playing a MMOG and competing in a PvP environment.

There's an "Attending" status in RV that you get when you start playing. For romans, this is when you're a slave. When Barbarian, this means when you're under the tutelage of a guide. During this time you are not considered to be PvP, which means that players can not attack you. This gives players a nice time to get to learn the game and practice their sword skills (if they so choose).
