All PS3s have the same hardware, just about, all PCs do not. That would never happen on a PS3. Not a good analogy.

its clearly your computer and its not a matter of just comparing the price tag and age of your hardware to the game performance and declaring that the game isnt made for high end systems.  Most likely you have a driver issue. even their average-low end video cards are getting 40+ FPS on 1900x1080. match the driver version theyre using but make sure to properly uninstall and wipe your system drivers before installing new version. And as their benchmark shows.. NW is very CPU bound. soooooo start by stating your CPU

If you buy a new anything there's going to be problems.  It's just like cars, you never buy the first year model something comes out...it always has problems/recalls hehe.  It'll take time for them to optimize the game to new tech.  That's why on the when you download the new drivers from nvidia it says on there 5% increase in this game, 10% increase in that game...at least they used to do this.  I haven't had a nvidia computer in awhile lol.

OP guy is literally isnt intrested to get help from anyone so just let him be, NO ONE here can help you with an answer if they are going to fix it ornot, you should ask that on the official forums we can only give speculations.

As ppl mentioned before that wanted to help you you should post your spec so they can help if you are not willingly as what it appears to be  you should just go sit and look at youtube vids of neverwinter and see how others play with a decent PC !!!

So it's not the game companys job to make a game run on ALL diff type of configurations and settings as long as you meet the min requirements? its not their job to make sure a game that will be played by hundreds of different types of PCs plays well for everyone??

  • codifiercodifier Member UncommonPosts: 47

Hahahaha. This is fking ridiculous, you think the game is not worth playing because you can't run 60 fps in cities? That's pretty normal in most games that you get below 60 fps even with high end PC. The games are nowadays graphically that good, that they can't optimize the game such a way that you could get smooth fps in populated city. In Neverwinter, there are hundreds of players in the same city.

Just ignore this idiot, prolly a kid who bought an alienware PC and thinks he can run every game max settings even in city. Just dreaming boy.

Bitch and complain? Really? I'm just trying to get a straight answer! Either they WILL fix it on there end or they WILL NOT!?  Never mind guess the question can't be answered!

How would anyone here know that? Post on the official forums with your specs and the developers can help you. Noone here has a crystal ball about exactly what is causing your lag, but no its not common.

You can't use a console  hypothetical to compare this issue. Well, you can try but it will never make a point.

It is your computer. Get over it. You are getting all defensive like someone just said your wee wee is small. If you are running bleeding edge hardware and software then the chances that you have something the game was not optimized for are very high. That's the price you pay for trying to ride the edge.

You'll have to wait until Cryptic patches up for whatever it is you got. Now, by not interacting with Cryptic's tech support forums you will only make that wait longer as they 1) don't know you are having an issue and 2) don't know to look at your sys specs to try and see where the issue is.

Frankly you wasted a bunch of time complaining here than going and working with them on their tech forums.

In your example, sure, it's probably the COD disc. HERE, however, dealing with computers, if there was an universal issue with the game/client then we'd all be experiencing it.

    IF We aren't

THEN Go to Cryptic tech forums

So there is a 0% chance that they come out with a patch to fix the problem. Because that would mean that they had a problem! I have to do the research and remove drivers, and new drivers change this change that to try and make my PC work for their game? It's 100% impossible that I DO NOTHING with my PC and come back a month later ... log in and yet some how its fixed??

Unless someone else out there is having your same issue and is more proactive than YOU are and goes to cryptic tech forums and says " Hey, here is my issue, here are my specs, please research"...then yes, it's likely you could leave for a few months, come back and have the same issue.

Again you are wasting time here when you could be there getting closer to getting your issue resolved.

Chondro, 95 % of the users are not having your problem. Like people have said time and time again, report your issues with Cryptic's tech support. You are not getting any friends right now due to your own stubbornness. People are really trying to help you, so do not go on the offense.

When a game is made it's made against an ideal set of what they call "representative hardware" which represents the greatest number of people, they think will play their game. They probably test against a variety of systems, but rely mostly on things like betas, like this one,  in order to actually get good data on what's not working.

I'm sure they've got a bugs forum over on their site, so run a dxdiag and upload that to them and I'm sure they'll fix it, because chances are, even with your premade system, someone else has similar components. Unless of course you managed to get Nvidia to create you a custom graphics card, in which case, no they won't fix it.

I don't see why you'd want 60fps anyways, your eyes can't see them anyways.  Movies only run at 24 fps in theatres, but that's because of the dark environment tricks your eyes.  Generally anything over 30 you can't tell the difference, unless you got adrenaline pumping, then it's said your eyes can see over 1000 fps (that's why it seems time slows down)

You obviously do not know much about how computers and gaming work, which is fine. What's not fine is that there are people on these forums who are experienced in these issues and have offered to help, if you would only tell them what hardware you are using. Sounds to me like you really don't care to solve the problem, therefore I say good luck to you sir.

Not true, they've got high frame rate now....... but still that's really only a big deal for 3D so that you can get 24fps to each eye. So you're right.

If he did, they would ask the same question we did which is "what are your PC specs".

I don't know why people say things like this..

When a game is running at 60+ fps I can totally tell the difference. Everyone can. Animations are smoother, mouselook turning is smoother...

In fact, I've just been messing about with DCUO because when V-Sync is enabled the fps is capped at 30.. and it looked awful. So now I'm using D3DOverrider while playing the game and it looks loads better.

imho we should let this thread die or a mod should lock it.

Its obvious the OP doesnt want any help as he have not even tried any of the suggestions posted here. He denies to post his config or dxdiag for no reason and insist that his crap pc is a top of the line.

His objectives are clear: Bash the game, troll and stir things up. Probably someone that really hates the game or someone clearly not that smart  from another gaming company.

To the OP: Open a support ticket, stop complaining here as you obsviously dont want any help. Go back to where you bought your top of the line pc, as you have been SCAMMED. Do this, or gtfo.

Agreed. The funny thing is that I bet one of us could have googled the issue (provided we had the hardware specs) and found a fix in 10-15 minutes. Oh well, his loss.

Now me first say this, I love Neverwinter and have had more fun in this game than I've had in a loooong time and I feel there is so much potential in this game HOWEVER... for some reason the my frame rates are sooo low I can't hardly play the game nor will I. Starting area was pretty smooth but as soon as I got to the city it was unplayable. Ive adjusted my settings 10000 times over checked to make sure I have all the latest drivers ect... It's not my PC!

So my question is do you think this will be fixed or should I just move on? Like I said earlier the little bit I've played Neverwinter I loved it!

    Thanks

It is your PC.  I can play all those games at near max settings, and NW as well, but I don't have any unplayable framerates.  Neither to the thousands (or is it millions) of other players, so it must be your computer.

I used to be able to play Forsaken World on my old laptop, but when I got a new one, it became unplayable.  Don't know why, but I do know that it is something on my computer and not the game.

If you can't play the game, fine.  Move on, just don't bash a game just because your computer can't play it, especially when thousands of other players are capable of playing all the games you listed and NW no problem.  All the evidence points to it being your PC, so please don't claim otherwise.

Since when is Tuesday a direction?
