What happens when pirates play a game development simulator and then go bankrupt because of piracy?

I just thought I'd share this blog post from a small developer. In a nutshell? They release a game based on developing a game only to also release a second (cracked) copy of the game through torrents on purpose. They programmed the second copy of the game differently on purpose... and the results, I think, are hilarious.

    Those stats are pretty depressing, true. I wonder what they would've looked like if the creators themselves hadn't uploaded a cracked version. Not that they deserve to get pirated, but it's kinda funny that they're complaining about people "stealing" when they themselves "stole" their game idea from another game, Game Dev Story, at least as far as I can tell.

    another thread on this already. I think it's both funny and depressing.

    I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

    Thats besides the point. The game would have been cracked within a week anyways. The point is, people go out and look for pirated versions without bothering to pay a couple of bucks for the legitimate copy.
