The problem with Blizzard is that they dont solely produce mmo's, the other companies listed do. So it would be hard to judge thier success as an mmo developer if you also have to take into account games like Starcraft. It's why you also cant include Square-Enix if I understand this poll enough.
Also Webzen should definetly be on this list. The company has made over a Billion US dollars without actually ever commercially releasing a game. That takes talent there.
I think I remember reading a year ago a chart of profits that were derived from tax papers sent to the Korean government. It ranked mmo makers from Korea as follows; Gravity, Webzen, 2 other companies that didnt hit the states, NCsoft.
He didn't ask which company makes the most money or is the most successful, he asked which company makes the best MMORPG, didn't he? Well, his title belies his question, I think. I'm not sure what the bloody hell he's asking now! I don't blame him, however, he's just a wee sprog... I blame Cleffy for saying clever stuff to confuse me!
he just needs to stop posting these polls. i have yet to see one of his polls that makes sense...
even his posts don't make sense most of the time. i don't care if he's 14 ro 41. by the age of 14 he should be able to communicate intelligently, or at least make his points clear.

Oh i don't know..working on getting their first game to a beta stage i think. best of luck but come out with 1 game at least before proclaiming yourself as the best.
i think that they only posted ones who has created more then one mmo thats currently released {which is why i believe mythic/blizzard are left out} But yes Blizzard definetly needs to go on the list.

Heh, I didn't see that game doing very well anyway.
PS;; Flyff sucks, don't play it </3 not even worth the 10 minute dl.
Sony Online Entertainment, although it's a company that has received much criticism. There's many complaints, especially because of the mess with SWG and their slow customer support service.
However, Everquest 2 does remain the best MMORPG when PvE content is concerned. There's no other online game that offers the same depth in questing and fun instances that include triggered events. Deathfist Citadel, Nek: The Return, Harclave, Crawler's Nest and the two-group raid in Splitpaw Saga, for example, are experiences that no other MMORPG even came close to.
I also have high hopes that they will fix Matrix Online with the combat revision. Unfortunately, they really messed up with SWG, but I think an important factor to this was the problematic communication with Lucas Arts. EQLive still remains a very good game and the expansions they release seem quite interesting, although I have no personal experience. PlanetSide is a fun game. Not one I'd ever subscribe to, but as part of Station Access it's fun to play it every once and a while.
In second place, I'd place CCP for EVE Online. Although it's not my cup of tea, it is a very good game and has the best PvP I've ever seen, where strategy matters. Plus, they offer player-driven content and that's a very good advantage, in my opinion.
Currently playing: * City of Heroes: Deggial, Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster. Server: Defiant. * City of Villains: Snakeroot, Plant/Thorns Dominator. Server: Defiant.

Not your fault, but you quoted the other guy's post. Leaving your post would make deleting his post moot.

I know... he leaves out Blizzard and, yet, includes NetDevil and Webzen... hehe. Daft.
