Which class do you want?

Title says it all.  Which class would you like to see in the future.  I left out some, since I can only have 10 options, but like Barbarian it is already really in the game as Great Weapon Fighter imho, the mover are all similar to Barbarian hehe. I'm just curious.

I didn't vote, just started the game.

I've played a Cleric and a Control Wizard to lvl 5 or so, and there is almost no difference that I can tell. They both are "blasters" in the old CoH term, casting attacks at 1 per second. The Cleric could kill most stuff with 2 shots. The Cleric plays totally different than any other Cleric I've played, and seems to really just be a Wizard with a different graphic and a small healing side effect.

I hope the other classes aren't so similar, and that they become different later in the game.

Please play longer.  Level 5 hasn't even acquired their 2nd encounter power yet.

ROFL... is this how we judge classes these days? Bro you will find MASSIVE differences and both classes feel amazing in their individual entertaining and fun ways... the only boring class in this game is the Tank...

Edit: I clicked Druid because theres a ton of those classes I'd try... man the cleric is so much freaking fun in this game that i'd struggle not to play a support/healing class if they have fun mechanics.

I chose bard mostly due to DaoC nostalgia. Also to the person who played to level 5. Please keep playing if you want a true vision of the classes. They are really different.

Also - can anyone tell me what class it is that has a force field type thing and sounds like it shoots laser beams? I'm guessing it is the cleric, but it's weird.

I didn't vote because only Psion is a class that hasn't been done to death in other mmos. I would rather go with a Battle-mage or wild-mage, how about a berserker for a melee? Or a Runepriest for healer or even the warlord/marshal?

I am always amazed that people think they are qualified to comment on classes / games before they even make it past the tutorial.

The cleric and mage both use magic from range. That's about where the similarities end. Everyone can kill stuff in two shots at level 5. Come back at 35.

Runepriest was datamined to be one of the next 3 classes to be released.

    Next on the block are:

    - Ranger

    - Warlock

    - Runepriest

Warlock was the most complete, and warlock gear was dropping in closed beta.

    Same here.

I've been leveling plate crafting just for the paladin, and pretty much put the game in hibernation status for me until they're released (while also logging in to work on the crafts when their time is up/get my celestial coin for the free increased chance to succeed while crafting buffs).

I figure that by the time paladin is released I'll have most of his gear ready, and enough of those celestial coin items to do pretty much whatever I want with said crafting.

Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

I have the 4th Ed DnD players manual and I don't see runepriest anywhere.  Neverwinter uses 4th Ed DnD books.

    Player's Handbook 3.

    Handbook 2
Avenger, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Invoker, Shaman, Sorcerer, Warden

    Handbook 3
Ardent, Battlemind, Monk, Psion, Runepriest, Seeker

Im going to go with Shaman. Healer and pet class. Of course, how would they deal with pet classes(also Druid) in a game where everyone has pets? Would Shamans have a pet and a companion?

    All of the above. :D

But if need be order, Ranger (both dualweald and Archer), Druid, Bard and Monk... from here on it can be whatever.

The clerics are a bit weird in neverwinter, they don't use 1h mace/hammers and seem to fight more like wizards.. odd.

Here's a crazy idea. How about having all the classes? Five classes at launch is laughable for a D&D game.

Coh taught me the value of a good buffer/debuffer, so I went bard. Plus the idea of someone playing a lute in a room full of things out to kill him just amuses me. Heck, any classes would be good though, five isn't enough as others have said.

I would like to see another ranged spell caster....basically one that doesn't stand in a weird fighting position like the CW or the DC...

that or a paladin, works for me too
