LFG and LFG
One of the things that I miss most about those "good old days" was the grouping vein to MMOs. I just loved killing Emperor Crushbone over and over. and then moving on to the Paludal Caverns.
Things seem to be a little different now, and although grouping exists, it seems to be something that is saved for later in the game, rather than throughout.
So I would like to get someone/group together to start a game with. I am pretty open playstyle wise, although I was leaning towards checking out EQ2 again. But I would try something else as well (housing is a big plus to me)
We would be starting new characters up and just adventuring together and see where things go. I am not a rush to endgame type, I just like to do whatever while on. And of course we wouldn't limit ourselves to only playing within our group, I am sure we will meet some awesome people along the way.
I am in PST but I am on at random times, so that shouldn't be too big of a deal.
And now I am starting to feel like this is some weird personal ad, anyway, any questions?

Sounds like a fun time... but you would either need a massive group of people. Or your play times would have to be synced really well.
I too miss grouping in EQ. Made a lot of friends in EQ that I still talk to today. I even invited a few of them to come down to our beach house for a week every year. I've NEVER made friends like that in any other MMO in the last 6 years.
I know exactly what you mean. We had this one guildie who we realized would have to drive through our home town sometimes on business trips, we eventually met up and had dinner, it was awesome.
These days I don't think I would be giving a guildmate my home address.
