Seriously....
When I see an NDA lifted and theres no buzz....means something is seriously wrong. Were things so bad that people are not even interested in trolling and trashing the game? No calls for game of the millennia? Just crickets?

i think the comments on this thread pretty much say it all about the game. The game in its current state is LIGHT YEARS AWAY from ready.
I've been in the beta several weeks. About two weeks ago I would have told you this game had a ton of potential to be great fun(when finished). Its a little different than everything else out there(in a good way). However, a bit over a week ago they did an update that messed up a great deal in the game(combat balance, dragon stats, leveling speed, gear stats, ect...). Also, the game is simply NOT ready for the public. Everyone that was in the closed beta was under the impression open beta was many months away(and rightfully so) right up until they made the official announcement. There are a TON of things in game that still are not translated properly(skills, abilities, masteries, item descriptions, travel NPC dialogue). Many quests are broken, unfinished or downright incomprehensible.
The engine needs more optimization, tons of complaints from people on Low-midrange systems. I personally have a very high end system(i5@4.6Ghz, 16gb, 2x gtx 670 4gb), but the game does not utilize crossfire or SLI so my rig is gimped. It runs fine on a single monitor, but triple monitor(5760x1080) is out of the question
SOE has been VERY, VERY non communicative. We don't get patch notes, updates or feedback on what is being changed. We have to trawl the EU or Tiawan forums to see what has changed in their version of the game to find out what we are getting. The little communication we do get is very "eh, whatever -insert non committal, cant be bothered non answer-". The only exception being discussions on where and how they can implement more "Station cash" fees. This game is going to be "free" just like early versions of SOE games FTP conversions. You can log in, but you have to spend money to so much as walk. I honestly get the feeling SOE cares very little about this game at all. Its like a little side project they got talked into publishing but cant be bothered to put any real effort into furthering it to make it good/great. They are just going to toss it out there and milk it for as much cash as they can before shutting it down.
I honestly cant decide whether to preorder a VIP pack because I hope the game can get back to where it was headed two weeks ago. Or just walk away and never look back because they obviously don't listen or care what the community wants.
they just took the server down for a HUGE patch(with zero notice)...maybe its a miracle patch and everything will be perfect after(we don't have patch notes)......I'll let you know.

He summed it up for ya. I was gonna get the 90 dollar pack till i heard what they were doing. My guess is they need a few extra buck to do something with eq next, so they threw this garbage out on their line, and I am sure a bunch of fools took the bait. Before they took it down, you could swim up water falls, swim underwater forever. While swimming forever and up water falls you can shoot mobs down, and they just wont go in the water. It is almost impossible to get the second attack, because the response system of the game is trash. The animations are terrible, NULL marks everywhere. The armor is gonna look horrible because they got a immense body slide system, and its far far from optimized. That patch hes talking about where its gonna be perfect after wards, HA. It took sony years too get vanguard saga of heros to a playable state, and by that time no one wanted to play it any more. I doubt they will shut it down, but there will be a very very small population of fan boys, who put money in it and will stick with it no matter what. Dont even waste your money. With games like elder scrolls, wildstar, eq next, and many many many more coming out just wait. There are way better games out there now for free. If you want dragon taming go play ulitma online, as far as dragons and housing go I seriously doubt dragon prophet is gonna do it better They could of, but they dont want to. One last thing the engine is never gonna be fixed. EQ2 still doesnt run right and that is mad old. I have a a i5 3570k 4.5 8gbs of ram and 660ti, and i was getting around 50-60fps at 1080p with everything on max. But I also get 60-70fps on aion with everything max and that game is makes dragon prophet look like eq1.

I just happen to notice that all the dragon packs are on sale till the 28th also. Dunno if thats good or bad ?
Its bad if you bought one lol. It happened because apparently releasing alpha games and expecting money for it didnt work like they wanted, so they hoping to grab a few more suckers. I have a sale too, i have some old cut up tires and rotted barn boards IF YOU HURRRY, i will sell them for the sale price for 29.99, that folks is cut in half YOU HEAR ME HALF. hahaha. Didn't realize the NDA was lifted. I'll throw in my opinion of the game. Been playing since VIP Beta. The game is downright horrible. It's completely unfinished, lacks polish in all areas, and the combat is just flat out bad. For an action MMORPG this is inexcusable. The game has some unique features here and there, but they are poorly implemented and bland. Downtime is ridiculous in the game too. So much potential was lost here. Wouldn't even bother downloading it, but it is F2P so you won't lose out on much.
The game was obviously trying to throw in features of current gen MMOs like Tera (with the combat) and GW2 (dynamic quests), but it's the worst implementation of both I've ever see. Really, just about every single feature of the game is just not well designed. It feels like someone just took a feature list from a bunch of MMOs, tossed it in a blender, added dragons, and spit out Dragon's Prophet.
At least the pack offer paid for itself in Station Cash which is the only reason I was willing to try it in the first place.
Pretty much this. Don't regret the purchase because the SC payout was good (25% off normal rate), which I will be saving for EQNext. This game has potential, if it comes good then maybe the pack will be worth it, but its very unfinished at the moment.
