When a new game is anounced you are getting hyped and you hope that you will finally play an mmo like in the old days of daoc etc.
Just accept it and move forward. There is not going to be an mmo that will become the next big thing simply because the genre is dead.
Moreover the pc gaming is already dead.
Dont hope for anything and move on with your lives.
What you hope for is just a river of illussions that is not going to stop till you decide to build a barrier.
Mark my words have a nice night.

A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.
That's why it's called "hype".........................amazing.
PC gaming is dead? Roflmao.
Do you live in 2005 or something?
No offense, but hope is what gives humanity its drive to battle adversity. Hype is an altogether different beast so please be sure you don't mix up the two.
Some are pessimists, there always are. However, it's not in the hope of the hype that I find to be the problem. It is those who condemn and ridicule others for not being of the same mind.
What's the biggest setback a player can have by being hyped for a game..disappointment? And this will end life as we know it?
Spending some money on something that might not please them in the end? Did they spend their rent money on it and got evicted for it? Did they buy magic beans when they should have bought food to survive?
Seriously, if there is nothing to look forward to in life, be it games, hobbies, entertainment and the like...then what is the point of enjoying life? Looking forward to a great weekend with the family but I am 'hoping' so there's a chance to be disappointed it might not be what I want so I should just give up and move on...
It's not the hoping that is detrimental, it's how you react to it if it happens.
